My harvest method ok?

So I just harvested this morning. I cut off all the leaves off the stem and left the buds on, I then strung some string from one side of my box to the other and put both stems upside down on it. In my box there are two fans, the one on the top pulls air out and the one on the bottom pushes it in. I made sure that no buds touched each other and that the fan does not blow directly on them. Heres a pic hanging.jpg

I plan on letting them hang until the stems bend but not break so like 4 days? :weed:Any comments are appreciated thanks!

skip the fans. You want it to take a week to dry out. then jar it up for a few more weeks.

I keep mine in a carboard box with a plastic bag over it. have a small fan inside just to move air in the box. Takes 4-7 days to dry. 70f at about 35%rh.

For a plant that size, there is hardly any bud on it! Review your cultivation methods. No sense spending all that time on a grow for production that is so modest. You're doing something wrong.

I'd personally kill the fan pushing air in and leave only the one pulling air out.

How long did you end up letting them go for? Were they at 6 weeks in your other post?

I used CFLs and clones the reason the plants seem like they have nothing on them is because they stretched like crazy. I eventually had to give them bushmaster to stop the growth. Because of the time restrictions I had to cut early. (going back to AZ for school in a week) I flowered when they were 12 inches tall and let them go for 6 1/2 weeks with 17000 lumens of 2700k CFLs and during that time they stretched all over the place. I didn't want to harvest but when your out of time your out of time. I checked the trichomes before I did and they were smoky with a little Amber more of a head high which I like. Sucks but since I only smoke a G a month I should be set :bigjoint:

biggest thing i always tell people to watch for in your dry is your humidity. yes to high and you get mold but alot of people dont get that to low and you start effecting the quality of your bud, ive dryed at a few and 45-55 easily gets the best results, below about 35pct your going to start losing smell that wont come back in the cure. i try to hold 45-50 so im not walking to thin a line with mold after 55pct, but im not going to low as to effect my smell or flavor in the long run. a low humidity fast dry will make it smell like lawn clippings and even after a month cure only some smell will come back, you want it to take a week. if you slow dry with a good humidity you should have a good smell and flavor even before the cure, and the cure will make it 10x better

looks fine to me. i would also get rid of the fan that blows air in. just the one blowing the air out of the box should be good. although u said its not blowing directly on the buds so it really could be fine. looks like you know what your doing as far as harvest goes, nice job man.

just a side note sorta off topic, you probably already know this but if you want bigger buds get a hps. amazing results.

Cool thanks, yeah I know about the HPS I wanted a more "stealth" and cheap grow so I went with the CFLs for my first grow next time definitely going to get some better lights 8)
