My Herb R.I.P?

First off, you want that 2700k spectrum to flower, or WITH some 5000k/ 6500k to veg.
Next, pack some of that soil junk up around the stem to help support it, and rotate your pot so it quits trying to grow towards the light.
I am going to predict that soil mix, whatever it is will make life rough on you for a while, but I wouldn't uproot it and disturb it yet.

Don't worry about the little discoloration on the cotyledons, just don't feed for at least 3 weeks.

Sunscreen works fine, I used one once.
Oh god! Thank you :)! Haha, i think i want to feed it no more. I hope it survives, i will trust you though!
Thank you for calming me down aswell, i really needed to know what had happened.

Didnt intend to use nuted pine bark as complement to the compost but... well.... i just wouldnt carry a 50kg bag of soil on the Bus :P

Btw, do you mean that i should turn it slightly away from the light? i have been facing the leaves towards the light all the time!

Thanks alot, every bit of help is appreciated. Im using random seeds so i cant really replicate this plant again even though i got several other seeds.
I will use regular water then aswell!

I poured boiling water through the compost and saved the water. Used it today before this happened, maybe 12-14 hours prior to burns.

Haha your plant is not that badly stretched, I have plants I started in soil that had stem nearly half again that size, and they are growing outside now, the internodes are about 2 to 2 1/2 inches between each. No need to worry about this as your plant gets older you can top, lst, super crop to make it not stretch as much upwards but outwards, or where you want it to go.

also your soil should have some more aeration, when you transplant I'd recommend buying some vermicite or perlite and adding to the soil. Don't be to keen to add so much light until you get your first set of fan leaves also, seedlings are very sensitive and don't really need to much light, that's why most people grow them under t5s or fluros till they are around the second or third fan leaves before moving under a mh or hps light.
Oooh.... well, i saw everyone writing about weak CFLs. So i thought i had to put 2 or 3 in immediatly just to prevent stretching!
I will try to find some perlite or vermicite, maybe even frigolite? wouldnt want that plastic going into my plants though. Got some of those supertiny marbles that absorbs water.

Thanks :) I spent 2 hours comparing my plant with other growers seedlings. They all looked as if the grew their leaves as soon as they popped out of the ground. twice the size of mine!

Btw, how can i add perlite etc after planting it? Do i have to remove plant while doing it or can i do it in some ninjaway that you GanjaGurus know of :)?

Thanks for help! Its really appreciated!

If it bends towards the light rotate 180 degrees is what he means. Thus straghtening it back to normal.

Let her ride out the storm and she will be ok.

Ya, sometimes the bus drivers can get funny about large packages.
What I meant is that your plant will naturally grow and try to reach the light, thus the leaning and stretching, so you will either have to get more bulbs (best way) and surround your plant, or until you can do that, rotate the pot every few hours.
When you turn it (lean facing away from light) and come back a few hours later, you should be able to notice that it is more straight up and down as it tries to grow towards the light again.
I would quit using that water, and just let a bowl or pot sit on your counter overnight to evap off some of the chlorine (assuming your water source does not use Chloramine), and use that to water.
What you saved probably has a bunch of nutes that got rinsed out when you flushed the ants out.

You can add it next time you transplant, when it is bigger I meant, it helps a lot, that's why you see everyone's soil with what looks like little pebbles.

as above, most people rotate their plants and when growing multiple in soil they also move pots around so that no one plant has the same spot each day, this allows for a more even light coverage.
