ok so i got my new 400watt hps light finally i was so excited so i open and screw the bulb in and hang it up then i connect the cord from the ballast to my surge protector and turn it on but the light doesn't turn on i let it run for 30mins and nothing i even take it out of surger protector and plug into wall but still no light.so what do i have to do to get it to work someone said i need to rewire my electric someone help plz
my hps is mest up i think help plz

You do not need to rewire is the ballast humming? If not you need to send it back if it is humming it is the bulb. Did you get the bulb and ballast together?

home depot does carry 400watt bulbs, but if you email/catt htgsupply they will send you a new bulb. it's a better bulb.

thats the point i was trying to make.
HTG supply will send you a new bulb. i fucked mine up and got one for free.

Id return it as a new bulb is gonna be around $25-30 bucks at home depot and its a low quality bulb

Is it a magnetic ballast?! let it run for 30 mins. might start up, i have a digital ballast so it only takes seconds when i fire it up.
