well for vegging you want DAY LIGHT bulbs, and for flowering you need some SOFT WHITE bulbs.
The ones i am using are just the regular, 23 watt, 100 watt replacements, but the bigger actual wattage (23) is what you want. here a god thread to look thru, which gives more explanation, its a short, but good read

You can get the "Y" sockets at any store like Lowes and Home Depot or whatever, they should be by the CFL's or at least a row next to them. I would alost look for the "clamp" fixtures, so your not buying some weird desk light to put on the plants
