Im using a 200w cfl 5000K light in a Comet Fixture. I also have a small 4" inline fan pusing the air out through a opening in the top.

With a 250W HPS your going to need to come up with a rock solid ventilation system. You are probably going to need a centrifugal fan. Check out the 4" Sunleaves Windtunnel Fan. I think they are the best out there. Its going to be really tough though, that a lot of heat. You should be ok, I just have only used 400w lamps. I dont know about 250w HPS lamps.

Hey I like the tent op you have in your place, I just sat here and read the whole thing in about 45 min...I am thinking about doing a hydro grow with a 400W HPS as well, but I was thinking that I'd do in in an old armoir that I have in my basement. It's about 3'X4'X7' so I figure I could get about 4 to six nice big plants in there. It really sucks that those seeds were bad, but I am glad that I read this before ordering mine. I thik I want to try Nirvana...anyone have any experience with them?

I've heard alot of mixed reviews about Nirvana. Once I get in a harvest or two I'm planning on picking up some seeds from these guys:

yea with all the reviews about nirvana it would seem like playing russian roulette!

Has anyone heard bad reviews from Doc Chronic? Im happy with the seeds I got from them. Most all of the seeds germinated and the plants look good. Plus I think I paid like $50 for some feminized Blueberry seeds. I remember smokin the blueberry in San Fran. I used to go to Golden Gate Park and make friends with the hippies in the park. They always had the best of the best.

Not to sure about them I am using bag seed for the first couple grows.. I do have some good news though my clonebox should be here friday ..

I just wanted to share some of my recent observations. I took about half of the branches off of my first confirmed female and cloned them. The mother plant still looks healthy but its growing only half as fast as it used to. For the first week it didnt grow it all, I think its starting to recover. I didnt realize how big of a deal it was to trim the plant back. If your looking for fast growth you need to leave the plant alone. Only remove a leaf if its more than half damaged. Anyway Im tired, Ill post some new pics soon. The monster that I thought was a boy is flowering like crazy. It still has a few male preflowers but they have not grown much? Im watching them closely.

This is tough keeping every parameter correct. I dont know what would do without that two stage reservoir. Its bad enough Im mixing nutes every few days 10 gallons at a time. My garden uses about 10-15 gallons of RO water at this point. Every week it goes up by a few more gallons. My RO filter has paid for itself 10 times over in the past few years. Great investment, you can get a nice one for $150. Never have to buy water again. Or if you live in a building think of all the work your saving not having to carry it upstairs. Anyway Im rambling so goodnight.

I have two 400w cooltubes in the darkroom. I have one HPS and one MH in there. You should feel the heat that comes out of the exhaust! Its like a blow dryer on high heat.

FUCKING SWEET!!!!!!!!! it looks real good. i have the set up from your tent...i think the 120....i was running 1000watter in her....so i know if your ventilation is right you can rock 800watters in the dr80

Im going to have to have the DR80 turn on when the closet setup tuns off. I only have a 15 amp breaker for my bedroom and Ill be running like 20 amps with everything turned on. I think the next step is figuring out how to put a 30 amp breaker in the 15 amp's place.

Hey Puff its looking great. I wanted to ask you when you planted your seeds in the rockwool on top of this post, did you hit them with some light right off the bat? I have 10 BIG BLUE seeds germinated and planted in the rockwool, 1 has popped but others are not ready, I decided to put a couple of CFLs over them.

if any one is intrested i have a hydrohut mini fram for sale...and a brandnew hydrohut original skin /cover for sale..and it's not the recalled one the recall com fucked up and sent all kind of differnt shit!!! that i dont need... you said that y are adicted to tents i have them all over my house my wife is reddy to kick me and my 5 tents out... lol..lol but yes i will sell all of it for 60$ if someone needs it i would like to trade something to so if someone is interested hit me up i will send it first be for you pay to be safe oh and i sell m.h 400w brand new in the box for 25$ and h.p.s.400 only..

This is how I germinate seeds. The ones in the picture were at least cracked prior to placing them in the cube.
I start them in a damp paper towel with a little bit of heat from a germinating heating pad. Once they crack I place them in a presoaked 1" rockwool cube. They dont even get direct light until they have shed their helmets. Then they spend a week or two under a cfl light and then they get put under the HPS. Hope this helps.
