AGAIN THOUGH I DONT USE EM I USE A 600 HPS BUT MAY BE SOMETHING THAT MAY BE IN MY FUTURE

There are many companies out there claiming new lighting technologies that will be game changers.

What my company has found is they all lack confidence in their products. They are hesitant to submit samples to our labs for testing.

The few that have interest seem to back out when you mention testing prior to purchasing or recommending purchase.

I don't waste my clients time unless I have proven results in our R & D labs. This said, only alternative HID technologies have shown serious competitive spirit when up against 1kW Super Hortilux in a true side by side that will be published.

All LED manufacturers pass on the opportunity to be included in such a study and this leads to my suspicion that LED technology is still not ready to beat 1kW hps in commercial production environments.
