Ha the mrs just ordered me a new home box mother tent dude it must be xmas lol a hell of a relief my cuboards are to cold to keep mothers this time of years so now I can keep a mother tent in the growing room
To expain more
I converted the spare bathroom into a grow room wacked in some new electric and in that room I have 2x 1.2 M tents which I pretty much keep on flower with 600-700 watts(actual draw) of leds in each one
the tents are great but to keep young plants in veg the main tents are to low in humidity and outside the tent due to the heater as well
I fucking love leds I can seal a 2x2 tent with a tiny extractor coming on every 3 hours for 15 minutes and keep my tempos and humidity perfect with nothing else as the air coming in to the room is around 70
maybe a lot of you wouldn't agree but I would like to share a few thoughts with you about temperature using leds I think we need to get away from how we grew with hps and push the knowledge a little
when growing with hps in the past I would try and keep the environment at about 75ºf and the direct heat from the bulb on the canopy would be around 85 or there about
but with leds as you haven't got the radiated heat from the bulbs Im noticing that the plants respond better to environments at around 85ºf
now to achieve this I need to put the extractor on a timer and the heat will build up to around 85ºf within an hour the down side to this is the humidity rises to around 55 % and its better to get it a little lower than that in an ideal world 40%-50% works well for top sugar production i reckon
so mrs campo guess what I want to buy next
Ive seen de-humidifiers which drain straight into a over flow, so no need for the constant emptying of the tank also you can pick up a digital RH regulator for around 50 dollars as well

. Got a plant like that now. It just won't stop fuckin growing and it's got to go. Today it finally started to look tired and it's going Sunday whether it likes it or not. And then Sunday will come and it'll be all white hairs and I'll say "Next Sunday. Definitely!" LOL
