Should I switch from burple leds to mars hydro in my 32x32 ?

General wisdom is a max of 50 watts/sqft w/o CO2 suppliment, and minimum of 30W/sqft to get a decent grow. At 100W true wattage for each of your lights and 7 sq ft, you're just under the minium at 29W/sqft. So yeah, you can grow with those lights, but in your space, you'd do a lot better with an additional 100W, or swapping them out for more efficient lighting.

I had a TSW2000 in my 3X3 turned down to 75% and it did great. At 100% it was too much. (It has a built-in dimmer.)

Lots of guys will flock to this thread to tell you to go DIY, but some of us just want plug-and-play.

Dude, do your research and buy HLG. I replaced a true 180W blurple with a 320W DIY HLG in my veg tent and I couldn't be happier. Temps are lower with more power and the plants grew better with some stacked nodes. It's not hard and there's lots of tutorials online. I think it cost around $340 all said & done.

Yes you can. Why spend 40% more on electricity and 40% more on your hvac when you can get an led to produce the same amount of weed but saves you on Bill's. I've been running the gavita 1700e leds for 3 grows now and I'll never buy another HPS again. Led produces bigger, more colorful buds for cheaper. Well atleast good leds, cheap Chinese leds will never work.

I started with led some of the best available to the public ....went back to hps. Led is great for some people for sure but not all and yes some can be cheaper than hps /mh

Not everyone cares about saving 50 bucks on hydro I could care less if I am consuming more hydro than an led ...


Bigger more colorful buds ....sorry that's just not true it might be true for your situation but certainly not all .


Not bashing led by any means as obviously they work great but at the same time theres a reason why most of the commercial lps around here use hps as well as bran new facilities still installing hps gavitas.


If your on a budget and concerned about hydro I get it there will always be led vrs hps ....


Hps ain't going nowhere
