well, when you ask for advice of what we think... your gonna get it. if you know everything, then stop posting questions. just a suggestion.

maybe the title should be "look at my kickass plants that are perfect and i know everything so dont say nothing negative"

Hey I read the previous thread on the guy asking if it was ok,
to grow 3-5 in a 5 gallon pot... And i agree that it is a good idea,
Dont forget to train em :) Good luck on some Monsterous females,
keep me informed on how it's going more pictures :)

UPDATE!!!!!
They are now 15 days old. Most had grown 2" since yesterday, the biggest growth was 3" to height and 2 and 3/4" in width.

1000w HPS
Soil:Foxfarm Ocean Forest
Nutes:Earth Juice Grow and Catalyst on half, Earth Juice Grow, Catalyst, Pureblend Cal-Mag, and Dyna-Gro Pro-TekT on other half. Every other day.
Temp:74
Humidity:55%
Light:20/4

They are starting their 4th node tonight, it will be out with 5th node started by morning. They add a node every day. I think ill probably start topping and training in the next day or two. So, what does everyone think. And please remember not to comment on plant/pot ratio. As you can tell they are doing good, maybe better than average i think.

wow they got so big so quick. How did they grow so fast? Mine are 9 days old and they are not near that big.

i know you dont want to hear more stuff about the pots but... its more than choking. you start plants in small containers so that the roots develop right. why not start all of our plants in 5 gallon pots, it would save time and money and transplanting right..... no. we want the roots to develop right. this is a site desgined to help people grow the best pot, so yes your 3-5 plants a pot will work but with deminished results. i mean i guess its a good idea if you are just trying to grow some mid grade stuff and havent spent a lot of money on supplies, but it says you have a 1000 w light and good soil and whatnot, why cut corners here.

EDIT: I just went back and read SmokinMac's reply again....and omg!!! I AM NOT GROWING THAT MANY PER POT FOR LONG!!!!! THERE WILL BE 1 PER POT IN LIKE 3 WEEKS!!!!!! I WOULD NOT GROW THAT MANY PER POT TIL HARVEST, THAT IS STUPID!!!!! BUT FOR A FEW WEEKS IT IS FINE!!!! I HAVE SEEN GREAT RESULTS THIS WAY!!!!!! IM NOT BRAGGING BUT OBVIOUSLY IM DOING SOMETING RIGHT BUT YES, THEY COULD BE ALOT BETTER, BUT THEY LOOK JUST AS GOOD AS MANY OTHERS IVE SEEN ON HERE!!!!! PLEASE, IM ASKING NICELY, JUST STOP WITH THE POTS!!!! PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE!!! ILL JUST MAKE IT EASY ON EVERYONE AND SAY I MADE A HUGE, LIFE THREATENING MISTAKE, I SHOULD HAVE STARTED IN CUPS, THEN MOVED TO GLASSES, THEN HALF GAL, THEN 1 GAL, THEN 2 GAL, THEN 3 GAL AND SO ON. NOW, LETS MOVE ON. WHAT DO YOU THINK OF THE ACTUAL PHYSICAL PLANTS AND GROW-OP ITSELF?!?!?!

To squiqqqs, i dont know everything about growing. In fact im probably closer to knowing absolutely nothing than knowing anything at all. I want all the comments and advice on my plants and how they are growing. Now what pot they are in. To SmokinMac, they were started in a seed tray in plugs and moved when the plugs were absolutely covered in roots (about 6 or 7 days i think it was). Thanks for all the advice everyone. Im done with the pot thing...obviously im doing something right and you all cant get past the fact that there will be one per pot in like 3 weeks. They will be fine until then. Then i wont pull them up and rip the males apart from the females. I will simply cut the males at soil level thus causing the roots to die. No big deal. I know no one wants to listen to me, but everyone seems to trust fdd...ask him, he'll tell you.

Anyways, whoever asked how i got them so big...give them the right light, water with weak nutrients from day one, water only when soil is dry, and treat them like babies. Thanks for the comments everyone!!!

Looking good......you know you have more than one plant in each pot? :hump: Just being a dick :-D. I bet that room smells good. I gotta get a charcoal filter soon so my house mellows out a bit. Have fun.

Oh hell yeah. Even as small as they are, when that door opens you are overwhelmed with the smell of reefer. I dont know if thats a good or bad thing :) Also, i live in Tennessee in kind of a rural area. Its not in the sticks or anything, but its not a subdivision. The shed is outside, so we dont have to worry about the scent at all. Also, there are alot of skunks that get hit out here, so the smell of skunk in the air is a pretty common thing. Lets put it this way, you couldnt hit any of the neighbors house with a rock. They are just far enough away where no one can really see use entering and leaving the shed. Ill post some pics today of the setup itself. Thanks for all the positive feedback guys. Please stay tuned, i will try to update with pics every day.

I haven't read this whole thread and i wondered why you were growing several plants in one container?

I've got 4 plants in a 15 gallon DWC... I don't see why 2 plants in a 5 gallon pot would matter much. THe roots don't secrete anything that would kill other cannabis roots. Sure there would be competition for immediate water/nutrient uptake but that just means you'd have to water and feed nutes more.

IDK... the seed pods all fall down in nature and most plants are growing right next to each other and their roots are all over each other I'm sure.

I agree with you about the way that seeds fall, but in nature the roots can go down a long way and one plants excretions certainly can affect another plant when they are in pots and seeing as we don't need to force the plants to grow in less than ideal conditions why do it?

Not to mention that putting seedlings into a big container to soon causes a lot of stretch and root growth when you want the plant to concentrate on leaf growth asap.

Anyway i just wondered what the method was behind the madness,i would never do this and i think its asking for trouble in many ways:blsmoke:

Natmoon, Im pretty sure you kidding with me. But just in case, read the whole thing, youll see im not leaving them all in there, it will be 1 per maybe 2 per pot. Please read before you comment on pics. Also, since i know you dont respect my advice and opinion, maybe youll respect fdd2blk's who seems to agree with me (go back and read this thread from beginning, youll see. You can do it, its only 3 pages and theres pretty pics too. Also, Natmoon, i didnt put the seeds in the 5 gal buckets. They were grown in plugs in a seed tray under a dome until the plug was almost covered in roots. An if you look at the pictures, my plants are not stretching much at all. They are very compact and thick stalks (Thank you for noticing fdd2blk!) And i kinda think you got that little wrong. We DO want the seedlings to make new and better roots. Yes we want leave growth too, but what good is leaf growth if you dont have the roots to take up nutes and support the weight of the plant? I think you got it just a little wrong, but not too much. You're doing pretty good.

Edit: Oh Nat, i check out your grow. Awesome job dude. Those buds are huge, and i love that color. Good job bro, i hope i can do that. This is just a bag seed experiment grow until my Silver Pearl and Jock Horror arrive, but i still think i can get close to 2oz per plant and im going to have between 10-15 females. Surely ill get that many out of 42 plants :) And i can fit 15 buckets in that room easy.

I have no doubt in my mind that you can grow many plants in one bucket,i just asked why you would want to.
If you separate them even eventually you risk damaging the roots and stress at the least.
IMO this is a needless way of growing and just makes more work for you.
Couldnt see any fdd posts in your thread and i am surprised that he would recommend growing several plants in one container.

Most of your seedlings are retarded and small and have weak stems, and many are leaning already, you should plant them back down to the first set of leaves into small pots as they have stretched far to much, funnily enough just like i said they would from doing what you've done.

The pics are pretty but the plants are weak,i do respect your opinion but i know better than your advice:mrgreen:

Natmoon, i have no idea where you are getting this from. Maybe 4 of my plants are stretched. The rest are no more than 1in from the soil to the round leaves, then the nodes are no more than 1/2in apart and the all the plants are 5" or taller and NONE of them are leaning. If you want to see what fdd has to say go here https://www.rollitup.org/grow-journals/30689-first-serious-indoor-grow-pics-2.html Also check out the thread some like "fdd, can you help" or something like that. I dont see where the world you are getting your info from about my plants being stretched, retarded, small, leaning, etc. And they WERE NOT STARTED IN THESE POTS!!! THEY WERE STARTED IN PLUGS IN A SEED TRAY FOR 7 DAYS THEN TRANSPLATED TO POTS, ALSO I AM NOT GOING TO SEPERATE THE MALES BY PULLING UP ROOTS, I WILL SIMPLY CUT THE MALE AT SOIL LEVEL OR A LITTLE BELOW CAUSING THE ROOTS TO DIE CAUSE ABSOLUTELY NO FURTHER DAMAGE TO THE FEMALE!!!!!!! Please dude, i know you're smarter than that. Just read before you post. And dont tell me what works and what doesnt just because youve read it somewhere. Try it then read it. My plants are look excellent if i do say so myself, and everyone is tending to agree. Please go to https://www.rollitup.org/grow-journals/30689-first-serious-indoor-grow-pics-2.html and see what fdd says. You seem to respect his opinion a little more. Thank you.

EDIT: ALSO, PLEASE LOOK AT THE PICS AGAIN! THOSE STEMS ARE JUST A TAD SMALLER THAN A DRINKING STRAW AT 2WEEKS. THAT IS PRETTY BIG. ALSO, AS IVE SAID BEFORE WHEN I CUT THE MALES OUT (NOT RIP OUT BY ROOTS) I WILL REPLANT THE FEMALES DEEPER IF NECESSARY (SAME AS MOVING FROM SMALL POT TO BIGGER POT). BUT AS OF NOW, I DONT THINK IT WILL BE NECESSARY BECAUSE THE STALKS ARE ALREADY SO THICK AND STURDY. I am typing in caps because it seems to be the only way you will pay attention.

EDIT: Also dude, please take a close look at the stems. Most of them are just a tad bit smaller than a drinking straw at 2weeks. Thats pretty good. And once again, ive said it many times before...WHEN I CUT THE MALES OUT (NOT RIP THEM OUT BY THE ROOTS) I WILL HAVE 1 FEMALE PER POT THAT I WILL PLANT DEEPER IF NECASSARY (WHICH IS THE SAME AS MOVING FROM SMALL CONTAINER TO A BIGGER ONE) BUT AS OF NOW, THE STALKS ARE SO THICK AND STURDY, I DONT THINK IT WILL BE NECESSARY. Im typing in caps cause it

Yea, I feel you nat. I'd do separate pots if I did soil. Why not? If one one plant dies its less matter to rot in the soil and there is no doubt the plants are competing for space and nutrients.

Look forward to seeing how they do as they get much bigger Fatal.

You still do not get it guys!!!!!!!!!!!!! They are not goint to stay in these pots for much longer. 2 weeks MAX! I know its better to have 1 per pot, and thats what im doing. Its just like putting them in cups and goint in bigger pots everytime. Today i dug 2 up and they came up with no problem. The roots are growing down. They are doing fine right under under some cfl's. These are bagseeds so we are trying different things. When we get seeds we paid alot for, we will put one per pot. And the roots are not competing for nothing. They are still getting the same amount because im putting just as much water in there as i would put in 3 seperate pots, if not more!! What im doing is fine and working exceptionally well. Thank you for your concerns, but its really not necessary. Please keep reading so you can see. You only say this stuff because you've read it or hear some one gossiping about it. Just wait and see. fdd2blk said it works and he grew 4 all the way to harvest. Im only growing them 2 more weeks, a total of 4!

EDIT: And if one plant dies its less matter to rot? ARE YOU SERIOUS!?!?!?!?! HAVE YOU SEEN HOW BIG ROOTS ARE AT 4 WEEKS!?!?!?!?!? Thats not alot of matter! Oh my god, you have to be kidding. And they arent goind to be bad for the soil, if anything they will be good. But there will not be enough there to matter AT ALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
