My little experiment

So I just germinated 13 seeds and planted 10 of them over the past two days in my room. My little experiment is to use blue/purple gatorade, arizona grapade, purple koolaid, purple food colouring and plain old water to hydrate my plant in diluted quantities. I will post updates weekly if anything happens. Feedback is wanted!

*My first post*

Wouldn't all the other shit in those drinks effect it?

Also, if a plant's leaves aren't green, won't it effect how it grows?

If the leaves colors don't matter, I'd pump it with blue food coloring. Then the leaves don't change too much, but the hairs may pick it up, and be more purple. I'd do that when flowering.

If you can find, 100% pure no sugar added grape juice, that might be good.

I'm reading a thread right now about food coloring:

https://www.rollitup.org/general-marijuana-growing/10320-food-coloring-experiment.html

Haven't gotten to the end, so I don't know the end result, but it sounds like letting the cut stem soak up the food coloring makes it nasty.

What about, lets say, toward the end of flowering you add a great deal of food color...then do a 1 or 2 week flush. Maybe it would retain some of the unsual color, but not the nasty taste.

lol dude have you ever researched the plant before? haha the only value that shit has is the water thats in it! the caffeine and shitload of sodium will eat away at your plants roots. the sugar too. the sugar might help if it works to be absorbed into the roots to aid in carbohydrate production. dude. research the plant. read books. dont be ridiculous.

Evlaar - Maybe the caffinee would be good! Make the plant grow faster! OMG, if you use redbull you can flower in 2 weeks! :P

From the reading I just did, it seems that many say roots won't absorb food coloring, and a hydroponic setup is the only effective way to get it to absorb.

So it seems, if you grow in soil the only way to change colors is to clip a budding branch, stick that in colored water, and it will absorb it...but you'll have a chemical residue.

I might try it, with Kool Aid and/or food coloring with cuttings, if I'm lucky enough to have spare.

So the color has to be absorbed through the stem, but not through the roots...and it sounds like you need flush any excess out (so the plant should still be alive)....so I'm thinking, what if you take a lot of food color, put it in a syringe and inject it at the base of the main stalk? Then, flush it out with just pure water before harvest.

Every time I see a thread start with "I wonder if this will work?" or "What would happen if I did this" or"What if I fed my plants energy drinks"...I know that this a person with too much time on their hands...

I hope you didn't spend money on those "lab-rat" beans. It would be sad to see good genetics go to waste... But, GOOD LUCK!!!
