my little plants leaves turning yellow

Hi there everyone,

I am new to this site and a first time grower. I have 4 plants that are 2 and a half weeks old and they were doing really well. The last couple of days the leaves have started to turn a light green and I do not know why.
I have not fed them at all just watered them. I have a grow tent set up in my loft with a 250w hps bulb. I started the light off really high and lowered it about an inch each day so now it is about 3-4 inches above the plants. Could this be the cause of it?
I would appreciate any help and have put a few pics up as well but they don't seem to show how light green they actually are.

He is saying with coco you have to give it nutes
early in veg unlike soil more like hydro.

Probably not the best medium for a new grower
I would do some research on coco and see what
others are doing.

This is a link to another thread on canna coco with someone with your same problem. Hope this helps.;-)

Here is one of the responses.

The plants look starving! Just to clarify mate, you are definitely using Canna Coco?

If so, you will need to use a coco (prefered) or hydro feed. Such as Canna A & B, Hesi Coco, Ionic Coco or hydro.

Coco has no nutrients in it. Soil does

The plant is probably not drinking much of the water because there is no feed in it. Once you get some nutrients for it, give the plant a good flush with feed. Then don't water again until the pot is very light to lift. Then water again with feed. Once the plant starts to pick up (leaves will turn a nice shade of green, purple stems may remain on old growth but not new), you can start to water more regularly.

Thank you very much for your help. I was told not to feed them for at least 3 weeks and that is why I have just give them water. Will look into canna coco.
Could you suggest a good medium for me to use please?

Medium is what you grow it in: /soil/coco/perlite/water/rockwool. Coco and perlite/vermiculite is inert: meaning it has no nutes to supply the plant. You have to add nutes. The little round leaves supply the plant with nutes for a little bit.
