My Marijuana Plant is Really Thin

drop your current light closer to the plants (i assume you've already done that). other than that, what can you do? make sure the ppm's are good, ph is good, temps are good, don't trim, water properly. Once you get the light, you may want to deal with heating issues. I have cpu fans blowing directly underneath that 150w hps sun system light i linked you so i can drop it closer than usual. 150w isn't hard to manage though, and these fans are only 70ish cfm. I plan to get 133 cfm'ers and a 250w hps and see what i can do. i plan to get the 250w on that eco site instead of sun systems. 50$ cheaper, and all i'm trying to do is solidly break the QP barrier for now. Might even buy a "fancy" hps light to replace the one already in it.

When i first started growing (like, just around the corner ago), i was all into doing "things." Now i've finally calmed down and realized, more happens when i'm NOT doing things. If anything, my doing things messed up my plants. I dropped my 70 cfm fan on my cryp plant and hurt the shit dick out of it just because i felt the need to be around the plants.

Did anyone not understand that he's got the wrong light?I'll put this in caps.
GET RID OF THE LIGHT WITH THE BLUE COATING.IT IS THE WRONG KIND OF LIGHT.CLICK ONE OF THE LINKS IN MY EARLIER POST TO YOU.THESE ARE EXAMPLES OF WHAT YOU WANT.YOU CAN GET A COMPLETE SYSTEM AT HIGH TECH GARDEN SUPPLY(150 WATT) FOR UNDER 100 DOLLARS.ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS TAKE IT OUT OF THE BOX, PUT THE REFLECTOR TOGETHER, PUT THE LIGHT IN, AND PLUG IT IN.IF YOU CAN'T GET ONE, USE A SHIT LOAD OF COOL WHITE CFL'S FOR VEG, AND WARM WHITE WHEN YOU ARE READY TO FLOWER.I REPEAT, GET RID OF THE LIGHT WITH THE BLUE COATING.IT IS THE WRONG KIND OF LIGHT.

I have a 400W hps and it is closer to the plant than your

your plant is so thin cuz it struggles for light and instead of growing normally it streches up reaching for more light

It doesn't matter how close he puts that light. It's a shitty light, not even as good as a plain old incandescent. You might as well grab more incandescents and get them all closer and put a fan on it all.

Crazy way to grow and it'll still be pretty pathetic but at least it will keep it alive. That light you have, I'm suprised it's enough enough to keep the plant alive at this point...

Go look at the links Stoney gave you. Just don't buy that next bag of weed, buy the 150hps for $20 or better yet two of them for $54 shipped. Then grow that a bit more, clone it, get about 8-10 little plants going, and get yourself a quarter to a half a pound or so.

Yeah dude, get an HPS. You can veg and flower and 150W isn't that hot. Just hotter than an old 100 Watt bulb (I bought a 400W and thought I was going crazy, now I realize it ain't that much even). HPS ;just sounds strong. You will need a balast which is no big deal. I'd suggest the following.

1. Light- HPS 150w to start, but go bigger if you can. I'm glad I didn;t get a 250W as 400 costs about the same
2. Ballast- should be available in a kit with the light from someone or you just order it seperately (from same place though)
3. reflector. these can be cheap or if you're on a super budget you can rig something.

I'd call someone to place your order. I called futuregarden.com and one of the guys there helped with everything. You should buy some nutes, started kits with everything are available around 20 bucks.... good lcuk

Your need more light. CFL would be your best bet. Place the light about 2-3 inches above the plant (cfl). You want about 100W per plant and no incandescent lights as they will give you heat but that's about it. Unfortunately, your setup is much less than ideal. You'll need to rethink this grow. Don't take it the wrong way.

I have the feeling that sour diesel is a unique strain that is not the easiest to grow. I am a relatively exp grower and i am having troubles with the plant. Thin, def. not the big colas im used to. Have other strains in the room ie. full indica that are robust. The plant is def a stickler for proper Ph.

HPIM2174.jpgyour light is too high for 1 thing and i put aluminum foil on the walls to reflect the heat to the bottoms too. i was going to place a box over mine so it bushes out and will keep the heat to a very good temp

I'm having problem but not only are my plants thin but the leafs are turning brown in spots. I'm growing Cali og x Haze and been beating my head against the wall what to do. My soil pH is 6.5, I've been using molasses (dime size circle pre gallon) once a week, using 1-1-1 indoor plant feet and bone meal that is 4-15-0 in the soil. It's mixed promix. My growbox is lined with tinfoil and milar blanket for reflection, a 75 watt hologin lamp and the lamp is about 6 inches from the top of the plants. Temp is about 78 degf and 40-60% humidity.

The box is 12 inches deep x 36 wide x 12 across... Only 4 little girls in there with the top proped up to exhaust excess heat...
