DO NOT go to station... honestly, i have been through this SAME exact thing not long ago. They come in check and left. I refused acess an was an ass to them cause they wouldnt show me warrant.
Your in California weed there has been medical for ages, they wont be kicking doors an beating people when they know its common. They prob ask to come inside and clean your act up cause stinks outside. Dont jump to any conclusions. Majority of people on here do not read full post and just jump in and say stupid things like "get legal" when you stated your legal 800 times. Dont listen to the advice of someone who hasent listened to your story...
My opinion is they knocked an smelt it, no answer which made you look worst. Drug dealers will often use a house for plants only so that may raise a flag when they report to the detective for drugs. If they come again then call it a blessing an answer an dont let them in without warrant though an see what they want... if your medical grow is 90 plants an it looks like a factory then cut em down. You grow 10 plants or so then dont ruin your crop.

Hope they don't. Hope they crash and trash. Get immediate video evidence. The lawsuit will depend on it. Good luck, brother. Still keep your mouth shut and make them pay for a lawyer. Tell that law mutt you gave your name and nothing else and he will be happy.

You don't need to waste$ on lawyer....and believe it or not...there are still cops that come hard n heavy through doors for weed....you have a small personal legal grow...talk to these turds at the station not on your property ...they wont even come back...if they do, still not a problem...you are a nobody with small numbers ..they will look n leave. Never to return.

In Canada in order for police to get a warrant in a place of residence there has to be three civilian complaintants or one authority figure such as a police officer or a landlord that have been in your home legally and they have to testify before a justice of the peace that they actually seen the plants before a warrant can be issued. In a garage or out building the police only need to suspect, they don't need a warrant. Canada usually follows the U.S. when it comes to drug laws. Bake your neghbour a nice apple pie....

For those who are advising going to the police station, what the hell are you smoking. Like hes gonna walk in the door and say, hey you guys came and knocked on my door and I didn't answer. Figured I'd come in and tell ya im growing some pot in my house, just so ya know. Ha, right! Even if your legal what the hell does that solve? They will still want to come and check it out if they are going to anyway.

14pages, I'll admit I didn't read every post so excuse if this has already been addressed.
I live in a illegal state so obviously I don't know all the your laws, BUT I will error on the side of caution and say that the safety and welfare of chilren will ALWAYS be put before your own.
And to add to that, you guys who are "legal" (states still do not win over the feds), you guys are paving the way for the rest of us. Be respectful and law abiding. The more trouble you guys cause now, the harder it will be for the laws to be passed in the fed levels that will help us all.
Just something to think about.
