they will be either female or hermie and as far as being worth the effort to grow, imo i would rather start with seeds from a male plant...

I thought the rule of thumb was that on the hermie plant those seeds will be hermie sensitive, but other plants produce feminized?

dude thats a big ass bud on your profile pick what strain is it.... and no mixing hermaphrodite pollen with female plants will not make feminized plants

Yes, if it was a female plant, and it hermies and generates pollen, the resulting seeds will be female.

Unless your neighbor tried to hermie his plants, it must have been a strain that has hermie tendency.

You're resulting seeds will be 50% your strain, 50% theirs.

That mean that 50% of your gene pool will have hermie tendencies.

If you have no options, weed is weed. If you access to better genetics, it's most likely weak anyway so I wouldn't bother, but I'm a weed snob, so it's just my opinion. You'll have some F1's with unknown history and possible genetic issues since hermie tendencies are dominant.

And for those who say "it might be the next SourD"!!! Really? How many have there been since? It may be good, no doubt, but if your going to play odds, play the lottery. Otherwise, stick with known good genetics.

Feminized is a result of using hermie pollen. Some genetic lines have hermie tendencies, but there is no real proof that feminizing a strain brings out the hermie tendency any more, it has to already exist, but I'm sure someone will argue.
