My new Aero/NFT design

Here are some pics I just took of my new Aero setup. It was super simple to make and works unreal. Cost is under $75. It took about three hours to build but I could build one in an hour now. The system holds 14 plants at about 7" apart.

I'm running a 396GPH pump with 12 clone misters (the red ones). The misters are set in 1/2" PVC pipe between each net pot. The mister system is run inside the 4" PVC fence post. You can see in the photo the 1/2" garden hose adapter I used. This makes draining the reservoir a simple matter. I just attach a garden hose, run it to the bathtub, turn on the pump and BAM! Your done. Attach the hose to the faucet adapter and fill it up again. Too simple...

The frame is made out of 3/4" PVC pipe.

I run a cycle timer set to 1 min on and 5 min off.
My PH is approx. 6.
I'm currently running my systems at 2900 PPM. That's right it said 2900 PPM! Everyones going to tell you that's too high but if you ask them if they have actually tried it they will say no. Don't try this in a DWC sytem! Look at the photos for yourself and you can see how healthy the plants are.

I'm running straight organic nutrients. Here's the formula:

Botanicare Nutrients:

126ML Cal-Mag Plus
180ML Liquid Karma
540ML Pure Bend Pro Bloom

Try it and you won't be sorry!!!
Hope this helps someone....

Check the date on this thread (05-27-2008 )... it's like a year old. This was a really old post, goto the Harvest a pound every three weeks! for up to date system.

What about a tutorial for building that system? I'm a step by step (no pun) kinda guy and would love to see it build out in the process so I know I don't screw it up.
