It's a great idea and looks like a good app. Most growers primary concern is privacy. Not necessarily the data you capture but also Apple or android/Google. If someone isn't in a legal state, there's no way I'd download a grow app.

Hey Triplec, that's very insightful and is definitely an issue. I plan on setting up our own secure internal server eventually, to keep users privacy better secured.

Having said that, in the eyes of apple the app is for cultivating plants of all sorts, so that's always a good excuse to keep people safe. It's far more likely that the app would get pulled from the app store or the developer of the app (myself) would get into legal trouble and not the users.

Thanks for the feedback though, I look forward to hearing more thoughts.

No problem. It's been all over the news that corporations all over are building back doors in their systems for the gov. It's just an overall scary thought. I'd love to use an app without those worries. Hopefully some people can give you some good feedback.

I use the GroLog app from Grodan. It's very easy to use and it helps graph everything. I can even create csv and pdf reports.

Check it out for inspiration, especially if you are expecting to have in app purchases. GroLog is 100% free to use.
