My new DIY mini aero veg machine

Had some time and wanted to hold off putting some clones in my bigger aero unit and decided to build a mini vegger so I can put my rooted clones into this and use some t8 lights to veg them a little slower and not loose any in the waiting time. I figure I can hold them in this for 2 weeks maybe little more get them to size and by then hopefully temps will allow them to go to thier final destination in the larger aero unit.This unit was aprototype I built so I didnt blacken the res out yet as I wanted to watch and make sure root balls start to form and that the new version of laser drilled holes Im playing with instead of misters works as good as planned .This unit holds 27 plants so I made 2 of them to hold my needed supplies.Not to difficult basic res setup,manifold made with laser drilled holes to allow great aerated water spray.The manifold is a 3 line setup build like a rectangle then I made mini hold up to rest the manifold securly in place 3 inches below the net pots so the nets get misted and the roots will tarvel down wards and be sprayed completely...Serving its purpose quite nicely. I will change the 2 light fixtures out for a single unit with 6 4 foot T8 bulbs...

lol yeah I always like to problem solve. Its a 15 gallon tub If Im thinking right.Got it at wal mart for $8.Yeah Ill post better how to on this after I run it for 2 weeks to make sure no issues as Id hate to have a bad design out there so as long as it goes as planned Ill show a DIY thread then. I will also black the res out then using fusion plastic spray paint. You just clean the plastic with good denatured alcohol then spray and the paint bonds to the plastic and wont peel. About $5 a can so until then its just an expirement.This could be a great cloner if it works as planned could do a hundred small 1 1/2 inch nets..and when it warms up I havent forgot my self imposed challeneg to BCNL and his companys damn Bloombox. I will be building my own version for under $700 probably alot less and I will out grow thier damn box as well.Just need a little warmewr temps to go out and fire the welder up as I got my basic design laid out and gotta start just making it lol Im a DIY sucker

Figured its been about a week and time for some updates on how this thing was turning out..well its working great just as I planned it lol..Here are pictures at 8 days and now 2 days under my bigger T8 6 tube setup.These are actually plenty big to go into the main aero setup but I am stalling for a couple reasons.Im gonna try to stall them maybe 1 more week 2 will be impossible as they now grow 1/2 inch a day and the roots have taken over the setup..Anyways compare pictures and see the roots.There is a picture where I put the bigger plant which is from the veg machine next to a clone that was taken the same day from the same plant that is just chilling in a prop dome as backup and will become moms probably..Hers the shots I just added thier first full nute dosage so they should jump fast now which might be a bad thing lol...

and in case I forgot to say this setup uses the laser drilled hole technique that GH uses on there high dollar machines

Well I have like 8 different version that I make for sale. I have bucket cloner/veggers can do 1-16 plants ina buckets and in this size setup it holds 27 plants and was the first prototype on this model.It will be blacked out in the final version so no clear res to keep roots safe..Pretty much all my setups I build to buyers wants and needs...Something like this one will be about $70 with these setup and all the netpots and pumps and hydroton and rockwool cubes.

well tooka few more pictures. i cut the food back some to slow the growth as the big aero setup isnt ready for this round yet waiting on temps to come up next week.Anyways its now what day 16 in this setup under just plain T8 shop lights all doing well plants nice and compact with heavy growth...You can see some of the roots hanging down.I know its clear as this was prototype unit I just cover it with black plastic but final units will be blacked out
