My NEW GHETTO SETUP HELP!!!!!!

Help with my system, I have two ott-lite 48 natural daylight floros. Two 65 watt grow in show lights. look at my pics. Is there a better way to get this going. My babies are currently an inch and a half tall. The floros are about 8 inches above them. I am using a closet 2 ft wide 6 ft long and 8 ft high. I have a regualar fan up on the top shelf of the closet on, it gives good air flow.I am using good soil and no nutes yet. I have about two months until my chick comes home will I have time? You mean you want to be done growing/flowering in 2 months?

If thats the case i highly doubt thats possible but maybe someone here has some sort of super technique they can share.

Ok I got two 6500k cool natual light daylight spiral bulbs. Do I use these now or wait until babies are bigger. when is a good time to throw these two in the closet with the other lights?

looks good going to be cramped for room when they take off. I would say it might be time to start thinking of a way to break it your girl that you want to grow I am no pro but id say you got at least 3 months left for good results not sure what kind of lights the 65 watters are but dont use incandescant growlights way too hot and as far as adding lights the more the merrier dont need to worry much about heat with the spiral bulbs get the tube flouros closer like within 2-3 inches of the plants or they are going to stretch. I just looked again make sure you drop the shoplight to just on top of the plants this i tell from experience . plants look healthy may be starting to stretch but otherwise looks good . You are going to need to add more light as they grow

cool thanks man. I did get some incandescant grow lights I will take those off and get 5 more of the spiral bulbs. I cant use the incandescants at all? Yeah my chick is going to have to live with it. Thanks dude. I could move them to an outdoor closet would this be better?

haha thanks dude, she smokes too so shes going to have to live with it. If I put more of the spiral lights will they go faster. So theres pretty much nothing I could do to speed up the process? adding lights wont speed it up? Do I keep the 48 inch ott-lites on the entire grow process?

seen a thread with some 1 that starts flowering at 8 inches so u could try puttin them in 12/12 now mybe you,ll get somthin b4 shes back i no the feelin

I have 5 cfls two 1600 lumens, and 3 1750 lumens. as well as the 2 48 inch flour tube ott-lites. This should work.

I dont think you are quite ready to push flowering. I personally, except for clones and seedlings have gotten rid of all my 48" flouro tubes due to the amount of room they take up and little they do you can fit some serious cfl's in the area 2 40 watt max tubes can fit. I dont believe the incandescant grow lights you have are at all effective from a safe distance (I toasted some with that type of light). I am using cfl's for the first time this grow and i am impressed thus far. Like I said I am not a pro I know from experience as well as study the more "effective" light the better. Mark. is on to something with the early flowering but i think you are too far off harvest either way so i would suggest waiting until they are ready to flower and buying the girl something nice. And by the time you tell her there should be enough bud on the plants to convince her that it is a good idea.

Hey inbudwetrust Go to grow fags at the top of this page and read about the CANNABIS LIFE CYCLE,That will give you the anwser you asked.Fluorescent shop lights take longer to finish the grow.Even with a 1000 watter it still takes time mature.The fag section is full of facts on the life cycle. Thanks guys I will take all your advice and keep up updated with pics. I actually moved the room to an outdoor closet, I will take some pics, it looks a lot better, only thing is the stupid flors are too big for the closet, so I am going with the cfls like you said, I have 5 on right now, I am going to buy 3 or four more and just keep them super close. I will put up some new pics tonight, I have a secret recipe i add to my dirt, if it helps I will divulge my secret, we are all friends here right????? Peace out my brothas and sisters, jah up...

For future reference, my tomatoes are in a patio closet when they begin to smell is there anything I can do to elimanate the odor....I understand I am going to have to open it but a quick open wont hurt anything, maybe when flowering I should move the setup indoors? hmm maybe I answered my own question..suuch a stoner..peace...

Here is what I am doing. The 48' floros were too big to have out long way. I am switching it everyday from one side to the other. I am going to get three more cfls for the room. once the plants get about 3 more inches taller I am going to remove the remaing items out of the closet and have only them with cfls hanging from the ceiling all over the place. Since its an outdoor closet is there any recommendations how I could keep the smell out, I remember my outdoor smelled pretty strong, so what would help? I am going to transplant the plants into 5 gallon containers , I figure with my dimensions I could have each plant spaced about 8 inches away, then I am going to have a cfls mixed in the middle, one at the base and one at the top of each plant. This should rock right??,

Ok went to the local hardware store, I now have 8 26 watt 1600 lumens cfls. So I have those eight, I have them based at the bottom and half up on top, so the entire plants are surrounded with the cfls top to bottom. I also have the two 48 floros with ott-lites in them. The plants are about 3 inches right now and looking good, check out the pics. I had eight plants but I am going to do four good ones instead, in my closet too much room for all eight., I will transplant the others in a field somewhere. Check out my pictures in the next post.
