My New Lumatek bulb rattles??

i just got my lumatek bulb in the mail...when i move it...it makes a little rattle noise...nothing looks broken...but i havent gotten my reflector to try it out...what yall think?

What kind of noise? Some have a wire coil that will make a noise if shaken... I have a few that have small peices of glass in them... Probably happened during shipping.. they still work though.... You should probably try that thing out soon so you can send it back if there is a problem....

but theres no broken pieces inside.....i think it is the wire coil...idk
 
i just got 3 of them in the mail and 2 of them rattled and the other didnt.

i bought lumatek's because i had 11/12 hortilux's burn out in about 10 months. some went in 2 months some went longer but nonetheless those bulbs suck ass in lumatek ballasts

Ive been using ushio bulbs with no problems....lumatek(dial a watt) 1000w...i went that route cuz of the good reviews ive heard n there made in germany...: )

gas lamps ,when not in use, will harden and ball up. once electricity is applied and the gas is heated and excited it turns to vapor. if it works its fine

nothing to worry about, that little rattle sounds is just a piece of metal or spring in the inside of the bulb, unless its really loud then something is broken
