His eating habbits are pretty similar to a regular house cat. Most breeders recommend feeding them par cooked chicken. However, oddly enough he doesn't like fresh chicken. Not sure why but he won't eat it. In fact, the only thing I can really get him to eat all the time is Hill's Science Diet cat food. He goes nuts for that shit. Anything else and he turns his nose up to it. He prolly eats about a cup of the dry food per day.how do he eat a day?
Very Very cool i want one i was checking them out and it says there just like dogs (walk on a leash, Play fetch) very cool
sorry to sidetrack your thread but thats too cool
How many plants do u have in there what do u expect the yield to be?
It's a Savannah not a ServalTIGHT! Love the tent setup. The Serval cat is SICK!
That would essentially be the same as I have now except I would be blowing through the reflectors instead of sucking the air through.thats nice, all that uncluttered space around your tents must be nice! I have a similar set up but with a separate fan for the filtration, and use outside air for the lights. I would have done it like you did but was worried that sucking thru the lights would suck stinky air.
Could you put the fan between the filter and first light, so you were sucking only thru the filter and blowing thru the lights to avoid that? Or maybe your lights seal better than mine.
I got 2 600hps lights too when i got my tent, but after filling it up with plants i found i needed a third 600 that is halide for a nice mixture and plenty of light.

Yeah the 600's are more efficient. Plus I have some concerns about power usage. There are not a lot of outlets down there and I don't want to get involved with adding new breakers/outlets and all that shit. My knowledge in the field of electrical systems is pretty basic. Also, this should produce more then I really need as it stands. I may upgrade the ballasts one day but for now I feel this is more then sufficient.nice blockbusters! why didn't you get 1000's for that puppy? I guess 600's have a better conversion lumen/watt ratio, right? >
Reflectors should ideally have air blown through them rather than having air being sucked through them! This improves the cooling efficiencyThat would essentially be the same as I have now except I would be blowing through the reflectors instead of sucking the air through.
The way it is setup now is:
Exhaust air is sucked through filter first (so it is now filtered and no longer smells)
The filtered air is then sucked through reflectors 1 & 2
Finally the warm filtered air is blown out the top of the tent by the inline fan which is on the roof of the tent.
The seals around the reflectors are pretty much air tight so no ambient air form inside the tent is making it into the ducting unless it is coming through the carbon filter first.
Reflectors should ideally have air blown through them rather than having air being sucked through them! This improves the cooling efficiency
pulling is ALWAYS more mechanically efficient. There are between 650 and 850 (the exact number is debated) muscles in your body. How many of them push? How about NONE of them!
Mechanically and aerodynamically you want to pull for as much of the distance as possible. Fans deal better with their pressure load when they can pull on it. You should always pull through restrictions in your air way such as carbon filters, elbows, size-reducers and so on. I have always pulled through vented hoods and cool tubes as well, but there is some merit to not doing this. Pulling the hot air over the fan motor certainly won't help its service life. Lately I have compromised. I use the fan to pull air out of the box and through the filter and then it pushes the non-stinky air through the cool tube or vented hood. This way you are pulling across most of your mechanical load whilst avoiding running the hot hood air over the motor. That said, all of the pro commercial guys pull through their vented hoods and they will daisy-chain a half-dozen of them onto a single fan. If you have enough effective air-flow (CFMs) the air coming off of the hoods isn't all that hot. Pull through a hood or cool-tube fast enough and the hot lamps don't have enough time to heat the air very much as it goes wooshing by.
If you suck, you WILL have some smell with your exhaust, that is if your hoods leak
If your getting your air from outside, it wont matter if you suck or pull,it will be the same temp
Also, it is necessary to pull for stealth reasons. In order to keep smell from leaking your box needs to be at an effectively lower static pressure than the room that it is placed in (or if you grow in a whole room, the static pressure needs to be lower than that in your house). It doesn't take much, a couple of tenths of a millimeter of mercury worth of pressure difference is plenty. This makes it a necessity to pull the air from your box. If the box is at a higher pressure than the rest of the room then it becomes effectively impossible to keep the smell from leaking. As I said, you can push through your vented hoods while still pulling air from the box. This is a sort of best-of-both worlds when working with low-to-medium output fans. Once you get some serious airflow going however, the point becomes moot. If you are working with 400 CFM or more then just pull through the hoods as it will make a negliagable temperature difference for the fan motor. Good luck and happy gardening!
NICE! Sounds sick. Post up some pics when you get set up. Sounds like your gonna have beast grow going on.Nice.. you inspired me. Going tomorrow and picking up a 9'6 x 9'6 x 7 tent and putting two flood tables and 4k watts.. thanks
Ill bet that setup cost a pretty penny...Hey guys, just got done setting up my new grow room. Figured I'd put some pics up and get some feedback. See what you guys think. This is:
-secret jardine dr240w
-2 lumatek 600w digital ballasts
-2 sunlight supply blockbuster 6' air cooled hoods.
-465cfm fan and 6' carbon filter.
-a stupid cat LOL
I'm also attaching a pic of my old tent and my current JTR mother that I am flowering out along with a couple closeup of the 16 day old buds it is producing.
Let me know what you guys think. Interested to hear any feedback.
