So this is my setup.

Main room.
1- glass tube enclosure with reflector for light
1- 400w hps/mh ballast (with bulbs)
4- 45w cfl (2700k) for during flower
1- 6" carbon filter with exhaust fan
1- bathroom fan for intake(blows through glass enclosure to keep bulbs cool)
2- 6" fans for circulation
all in a 4x4x6 foot room I painted a high gloss white outdoor paint.

Mother room.
2- 50w cfl's
1- 200 watt halogen grow bulb
1- house fan for circulation
all in a 2x4x5 foot tented enclosure. Left the bottom 8 inches open for circulation.

Nutes.
Miracle gro organic soil with vermiculite. Miracle gro ultra bloom for flower.
Miracle gro all purpose for veg.

Let me know what u all think please!!!! I will attach photos in a bit.

I have 2 that are now 2 weeks and 2 days into flower. Once they are done I will trigger 2 more. I have also been bending them down to optimize light. I have the hps 8 inches away ( stays cool as it is aircooled) and each plant has 2 45w cfl in the center of them for added light.

Any feedback would be appreciated!!!!!

It's one of those 200 watt grow bulbs you get from home depot. I actually double checked it and I think it is 150w. The Mother's are loving it though!

if it's sold as a grow bulb it's probably a MH... If it's halogen, they aren't even really considered for plants. Most sources won't even mention them, the standard grow lights are fluorescents (lots of variety), metal halide, and high pressure sodium. LED's are becoming more common as well.

Looks like you have a good setup going. I'd just make sure the flower cab is more light tight as to not interrupt the flowering process, and get away from the Miracle Grow products - but looks like your plants are pretty healthy so far.

Looks sweet man. I'd just get some different soil than MG. I just started with MG Organic and after 2 weeks my plants looked healthy, but were not growing over 1". I transplanted them to FFOF on Friday and since then they've grown at least another inch and are a wicked nice dark green.

If you can make it work, then more power to you. It's just got way too many nutes in it.

You dont want a "Gloss" white that does Not reflect light well.....You want "FLAT" white ,flat white reflects somthing like 85% of light....second i would use a soiless mix(sunshine mix , Pro mix) on your next grow and add your fertilizer/food to your water when needed.. The soiless mix is nuteral Ph steril meduim like a blank slate and more newbee friendly...

So I should go to a Hydro setup instead???

I kind of wanted to go with soil as that is what I have grown with before, mind you, that was a larger setup. My concern is the cost of hydro.

So if Miracle Gro is a no no, can someone give me a list of what I should go with pleeeeeeeease!!!!! Nutes and soil!

Like FootClan said, some soilless mix like sunshine. A lot of people use Fox Farm, but I've heard it can be high in fertilizers and can contain bugs like fungus gnats. Basically you don't want to use stuff with built in nutrients because you want to be in control of that. As far as ferts, I'd use a good 2 part grow/bloom to keep things simple at first - try not to get caught up in all the "magic formulas" until the basics are taken care of.

I would not recommend hydro until you have soil growing down to a science.

I don't know if it is the strain or what, but they seem to really be thriving on the MG. I am thinking if I switch to some actual good nutrients they will be off the hook!!!!!

No comments????? I thought I was doing a good job :(
Your plants are looking good - getting some fat nugs going! You are right in line with me, I'll be 5 weeks into flower on 8-8, tomorrow. You feel like posting any update pics @ 5 weeks? I'll post some of mine with your permission.
