sorry to hijack, but is this a good soli mix?should anything else be added?

1 Bale sunshine mix #2 or promix (3.8 cu ft)
8 cups Bone Meal - phosphorus source
4 cups Blood Meal - nitrogen source
1 1/3 cups Epsom salts - magnesium source
3-4 cups dolomite lime -calcium source & pH buffering
1 tsp fritted trace elements
4 cups kelp meal.
9kg (25 lbs) bag pure worm castings
I really don't like blood meal, it usually is just too damn hot, i'd recommend a different nitrogen source, like an aged manure (rabbit or alpaca are the best)
I prefer fish bone meal to bovine, I really don't like using slaughterhouse products, just me though, but either way, blood meal is some HOT stuff.

absolutely right, my whole pot-growing concepts changed a LOT when I started re-using soil. I've been growing since the late 80's and it was a big "no-no" to ever re-use soil back then. It's a lot more easy than it would appear, and the end-result is the same, if not better, and you save $$ on soil, a win-win.

holy cow, I log off for a couple days and all sorts of info posted here. Thank you all for all of the info. It has been helpful.

Ok, I went shopping today. Below is what I bought today and the amounts I feel I am going to mix. Feel free to chime in. Might mix tomorrow, might do it sunday. Making 50 gallons or 6.78 C/F. Mixing and letting sit in 3- 32 gallon plastic trash cans to cook for 3-4 weeks.

BASE:
Promix HP- 20 gallons
Perlite- 20 gallons
Earth Worm Castings- 10 gallons
Compost- 10 gallons

ADDERS:
Crab Meal- 2 cups
Alfalfa Meal- 2 cups
Cottonseed Meal- 1 cup
Fish Bone Meal- 3 cups
Kelp Meal- 3 cups
Dolomite Lime- 1.5 cups
Soft Rock Phosphate- 1 cup
Azomite- 3 cups
Oyster shell- 1 cup
Langbenitite- 1 cup

Questions.... Is langbenitite too potent? I have had it around since my last grow, and want to use some if it makes sense. Seems like I'm heavy to the "N" and the "P", but slightly lacking in the "K" . This stuff is 0-0-22, whew. Pretty chunky too, think it will take a while to break down.

The Dolomite Lime is like little chips of rock, same with the phosphate. What if I ground them up to dust in my coffee grinder. To be more the consistency of a meal. Would this break down the rock faster? Would this make the nutrient benefits release too fast, and not last the whole grow cycle?

-I might amend more worm castings, neem meal (more for bug control over nutrients), but couldnt find, another glacial rock dust, as I didnt find another option locally today either.

Thanks everyone.
