Holy smokes M1dAmber! Beautiful looking plants you're turning out. I can tell this isn't your first rodeo! :-)

Your JTR is looking nice! That is my favorite TGA strain that I've tried thus far. I found a nice Cheesequake pheno that I've had for a while, but it's nowhere near as potent as some of the JTR that I've smoked. Gonna be a bountiful fall around the 'Amber household!

Thanks brother! That means a lot coming from you. :D Yeah man, This is my third or fourth time running this same cut. I love her man. She puts on the trichomes first, then the weight later and never seems to disappoint. Gives you that race-y, sativa, smile-to-my-ears high that I absolutely adore. Get's you behind the eyeballs. LOL.

Ohhhhhhh, Cheesequake! That is a gem man. My buddy out here had this really heavy yielding pheno that had this knock you on your ass effect that was great for couch-locking yourself for a nice evening of doing nothing. Super good taste on it too.

Those two so far are my favorite TGA strains...Pandora's Box and Agent Orange were pretty good. But now I am hearing that TimeWreck is a super good TGA strain. Haven't had the chance to smoke it yet though...

Sorry for the wall of text, I am rambling. All dabbed-out and such. Thanks for stopping by!

LMAO, "Frosty's Icicle", that is some funny shit right there. I like to think of it as someone was baking a cake and spilled a shit ton of sugar in my flower room. :P Tasty. LOL!

Thanks for stopping by man. bongsmilie

Hey, thank you very much! Very kind of you...

Actually, I am in fact vert! LOL. I switched mid-way through the journal to make the best of the lumens I have.
I started the journal with a 250 horizontal, but found it to be a much better setup after installing a 400w and going bare-bulb vert.

I am not sure on the cfm rating on the fan I use, as my setup right now is a few smaller fans blowing upward over the bulb, and a "vornado" fan pushing the heat up and forward towards my window that exhausts the heat. (There is also a cheaper window fan that pushes the air out from there.)

Back when I was using just the 250w cool tube hps I just used a standard floor fan blowing through the tube and a smaller fan going over the canopy and I was golden...so you should be good to go.

What kind of space are you working with?
im thinking of working with a 2x2x2 area and bare bulbing a 250 and doing a mini stadium with 4 plants hopefully, minimal veg time (like a week or two), another grower here does the same exact thing in the same space except 12/12 from seed and has some insane results, he runs a cool tube though. I should be getting more lumens. I hope to have some decent results at least a zip a plant in soil and air pots. But as for you keep it up, your a current model of what I hope to ahieve aha, also your strain Brooklyn heights sounds cool considering Brooklyn heights is also a few minutes from where I live ahaha.

Heck yeah man, I could totally see that working out for you. I think anyone with a lower wattage and small area can really benefit from vert growing.

Cool that you are from NY, my lady is as well...says we need to go out there and eat "real" pizza. Heheh. I would love to eat some NY pie!
I bet it is the bees knees! :eyesmoke:

I just realized that I haven't updated my JTR in a little bit, so I snapped a few photos...she is putting on weight, and is getting stankier. I love this particular pheno because it isn't an overpowering lemon, but just a hint of sweet lemon. Mostly musky and earthy, which I enjoy.

hey M1damber. ur stuff is super frosty. very nice thread.
i liked the dry shots alot. im coming up on a harvest. could you
go over ur dry process real quick? if u got a perpetual im
sure u are harvesting/drying all the time. i do it once a yr so i get fuzzy lol

do you just dry for 7-10 days and then mason jar for 2-3 weeks burping for each/humidity each day?
or you throw something extra in there? lol

P.s i know i can read in the curing/harvesting page. and i have done so extensively. i work from home.
but like i said as u are im sure drying all the time. differnt opinions will help me perfect my own.
keep it green.

She is gaining weight, and the nugs are becoming more and more solid, she seems like she is super close. I haven't checked the trics yet, but based on general appearance, I would say a week left on that lady. I will probably check the trics tomorrow for fun and maybe shoot some macro shots if my camera is feeling up to it, lol.
Hey, thanks for the kinds words brother. Good seeing you stop by.

Thanks a million man! Should have some dry shots within a few weeks here. (Sour cream and The Flav harvests in about 2 weeks)

As far as drying and curing goes...

When the plants reach the amount of amber I would like to see I put the plant into 48 hrs darkness, then pop in some Big Labowski or something similar for GOOD TIMES! (I am weird and LOOOVVVE trimming)

After each branch is nicely trimmed, I place them on three lines that go through a cardboard box with 2/4 sides cut out.
I put that box in a pitch black room with good ventilation, but no with no fans hitting any buds directly.
When the buds are crispy, but still have some give to them, and when the stems are between flimsy and super brittle, (breaks, but not snaps if that makes sense) I jar them up.

For the first three to four days I open each jar 4-5 times a day and keep the jars open for a good half hour to fourty five minutes. If they are feeling super wet or damp, I will lay them out on some newspaper in the dark again, with ventilation, until the buds have lost some humidity. (They are crispy again, but still have some give to them) Then jar them up again.

After the end of the first week, you usually just open the jars once or twice a day and only for like ten - fifteen minutes. You will notice that over the next few weeks your buds will slowly bud surely lose moisture.

This is your goal, to slowly, but surely, bring the moisture level down to what you would like to see/feel/smoke in a bud. Think of it as an airplane landing. Each day the buds release moisture from within the center of the bud and when you open it up you lose a little bit more each day. You CAN drop a hygrometer in there and measure it in % for an even more accurate way of slowly lowering that number. Then over time, you will just sorta "know".

After your buds are just right...after like two months of curing, all you will need to do is store your jars of cured meds in a dark area.

IMO - Also, sorry for the wall of text.

M1dAmber I am very impressed with your grow!
Many people start with closet grows but never perfect the craft at that level, it takes getting bigger set ups before they dial in the actual growing to see the dank results you're getting!!!

Shit I know dudes with 8 lights that can't do what you're doing!

Also I am excited to see your Dairy Queen. I have my DQ mother flowering outside at around wk5.5 and it smells phenom!
I have around 10qt jars of different strains from my last indoor and DQ is one of them. I had been smoking a bunch of Colombian Gold and Durban and SFV OG and started to feel the strain tolerance. So I bust out the DQ and vape like 3-5 bowls in a row and BAM!!! Super fucking ripped! For Hours!!!!

Love what you're doing keep it up!

Damn man, that are some really nice words...thank you very much! I have been doing the closet thing for just about 3 years now, went from all cfl for the first year, to 250 horizontal hps, to 400w vert, and hopefully I can grab a 600w soon! I really do have fun tending to these plants every day and manipulating them as well as seeing them progress. Growing really is the best hobby I have ever discovered and nowadays, it takes a large portion of my time.
Because hell, I will be honest, there is almost nothing I would rather be doing.

Thanks for stopping by my man, and again, thanks for the kind words!

P.s. OH, as far as the Dairy Queen goes, I had one nanner out on me @ about week 8 or so, but I have one that is super trained and has a good amount of tops, so I am giving her a second run to see if maybe the nanners were because of some high temps during the summer while I waited for my a/c to be shipped.

We'll see, but either way the Diary Queen I harvested (just a tad early because of the nanners), has been treating me right! The taste is on point, very sweet, and the high is very instant and strong.

M1dAmber I had a DQ on my last indoor go to wk 8.5-9ish and stayed stable. The smoke from this thing when I vape fills the room like a sickly sweet astringent cheap incense. Leave and come back an your instantly reminded of the sweet cheese stank that is DQ. Quite bummed actually that I let this one go but I enjoyed her while I had her! If you don't mind in the coming few as my outdoor DQ buds out I'll post her up to compare the stability of the avail phenos etc ;)
