My Personal Trainwreck, et al

TW's right-arm's cola got too heavy and I've had to add string to hold it up. There's also a branch that was leaning against the back of her cab, so I added string for that. It was very difficult hanging the back string and I'm not going to attempt to get a pic of it :).

I got a PM suggesting I wasn't using enough light. There were 12,600K and I've added another 2700K to make it 15,300. I ordered 12 more backup bulbs coming on Friday and if I can add more in TW, I will. I can see the buds in the center getting bigger with the added light.

I can see it does look dark in the middle in the pics, but they're lit up like a Christmas tree. Sometimes I need to move light to get the camera in, but I think they're well lit now. Thanks TM!

She went into flower on 5/23 so am hoping she's a 60-dayer. Her trichs are visible, but I'm not concentrating on them yet. I want her to keep blooming!

My first baby who went into veg on 4/1 (yes, April Fool's Day) is finally starting to flower. She is now on day 21 of 12/12 and has had two shots of Super Bloom. I'm going to do a separate thread on what not to do and use her as my examples. At least she's now pulling through. Here's a look at her from baby to now. TC is a purple kush from clone.

Gooey is an Afghan Goo started from seed. She's been vegging outside since 5/18. She's under a bluish street light all night so has really been under 24 hour light. The way I see it, that blue light is what she knows as sleep time. She's always drooped her leaves at night, just like a nightgown.

I was going to bring her in and force flower her inside, but it was too painful. I was in tears at the thought of putting her in a dark bathroom by herself all night. I had thoughts of putting my pillow and blanket in there with her. At least some music.

I've now decided to flower her outside. I doubt she'd drop dead getting 12 hours of bluish light rather than pitch black that she's never been in. So we'll see what happens. Here's pix during transplant and showing her flowers trying to pop through.

This lady (Indy) had a really rough transplant. She originally started in a window, went into the laundry area, into a new pot and then into a new veg closet. She's still not liking any of it much, but she's never been in as bad of shape as TC, so I know she'll recover.

The new babies are Romula (sp is a guess).

The little baby outside is a Lamb's Bread that someone gave me in April. She should have come inside, but closets were full. She's been almost dead her whole life, but is now coming back so I wanted to add her in here. Her name is Bo Peep. Her DOB is about 4/5/09.

I added new lights, though will be putting up at least one more when I buy more sockets/clips. I got the expensive shit, now need to travel a mile to buy the cheap stuff.

I don't have a lot to show that's new. She's growing, doing her thing and is on day 53 of flowering.

A note to federal government trollers only: This is my entire grow. I now have four adult plants if you want to measure them by 12" high or sex showing. Only 2 are blooming if you want to judge them that way. I have 5 babies. I am allowed 6 adults or 12 children (plus 1/2 poud of processed). My boyfriend is sharing this grow and he also has a prescription. His limit has not been started. Figure it out!

Cheers!

The Gooster has grown 3 inches in the last few days and is now a whopping 25" as she goes into flowering. I had visions of dangling trainwreck arms, so we put stakes around her. She has to be carried in every evening about 6 and back out in the a.m.

There's also a pic of TW's longest arm, shot at a weird angle and also one or two of the purple kush whose looking more like trainwreck under the yellow lights.

Speaking of trainwreck, she just finished her 8th week of flowering today. I'm hoping for another 7-14 days. Trichs are mostly clear still.

Thanks Fried, I'll let you know if it was nice :joint:. I'm going to post a slew of pix: I bought my 3rd cab, got a lot of lights, and started the wreckster on flush today (she had molasses tho).

But I'm asking for any advice about the TW's harvest, cure, etc. I'm pretty much following Fdd2blk's tutorial on it, but I don't think I'll flush for two weeks, maybe heavy waterings (3X normal water, 3 times). She is dry about every 30 hours.

I don't understand about the leaves dying around the buds that I see on a lot of plants when ready. I'm thinking if you don't flush for so long, they'll remain greener and stickier. I'd think it's nute starved and still trying to live. But I want sticky, dank leaves ~ not dry and crispy. If I'm way off on that please comment.

My old man set up a third cabinet last night for veg. Two hours, on killer OG Kush, was all it took to include daisy chaining PC fans in two cabs. I had her in a regular clothes closet with a fan blowing in and a fan blowing around. I just about killed my indica (name unk, I call her Indy) and when I saw her yesterday morning, I pulled the plastic and bought her a home. She's the one in veg, waiting on the wreck for a home to flower.

The cabs are Sterlite from Walmart. They need to be insulated or foil-taped for light. Pix showing cab in the making, only a Dremel drill needed to build the whole thing. So we have TC (purp kush) in one, TW in two and Indy with friends (Romulan) in three.

The Goo is hanging outside in about 140 degrees. She comes in at 8 and out at 8. I'll do pix of her later. She's getting huge!

I want to thank everyone that PM'd me and also a thanks for the rep from Dystopia. Tilemaster told me to add the lights - a huge thanks. Difference in pix from 4 lights to 6 was big in bud size.

I'm not going anywhere, I just feel like I'm going public. (pix are titled)

Trainwreck is 9 1/2 weeks into flower, trichs still mostly clear or opaque.

TC is a purple kush on week 4 of flower. She stinks bad. Don't expect her to get much better.

OMG, when I opened the wreck's cab door this morning her leaves had turned a bright chartreuse from a deep green yesterday. I've been asking about leaves changing on other threads wondering if the lack of nutes causes this or the time she's been in 12/12. No answer.

Today is day 63 of flowering so has just finished 9 weeks. TW from the books I've read say 8-9 weeks. I saw a post on here to go 9-10 if possible. So she's right there. She had her last SuperBloom on 7-11, her last Schultz 10-15-10 on 7-19 and has had only molasses on 7-22 and 7-24 (w/water of course). Tomorrow we will flush and bail three or four times, let her dry and chop then.

Whether all of her comes down then is up in the air. Three days ago she was popping brand new buds with white hairs down near the dirt. All her trichs are amber except those brand new ones and I am not looking for any head-rushing, knee-buckling couch-lock. I'm suffering that now with some Grape Ape I bought. So most of her will be down on the next drying.

I'm doing pix in two separate posts since the last one kicked me out. Last pix are from this morning with her yellowing leaves.

We cut down the trainwreck yesterday taking about 8 inch pieces at a time. That was Day 66 of flowering. She was flushed two days earlier with much clean, PH'd water. I weighed each piece with the stems and wet and it came to 170 grams or just over 6 oz. I'm expecting 80% loss when dried, but I'll post the final and pix in her curing jars.

I worried way more about the cut than necessary. I thought it would stink to high heaven, really bad, and it didn't. I don't have stealth problems, but didn't want it going out in the street. Anyone with at least one bedroom can easily do this grow. I leave doors open with AC and open window at night. Anyway, I bought this stuff called Cedar Magic that you peel off the top from holes. That room was pretty smelly for a while, but it was difficult to tell if you were smelling cedar or dank. Cheap (about $4 at Walmart).

I also thought it would take a lot longer to trim. It took about 2 hours, but could've been done a lot quicker. I cut it a little sloppy as I'd really rather smoke the really close bud leaves than cook them, etc.

I have three cabinets in a small bedroom ~ one for veg, two for flower. With the CFL’s, my power bill barely changed.

I encourage everyone with a medical card to grow at home and take excess to dispensary and get reimbursed. The more small grows in cabs, which are 100% legal, the less control feds or any kind of anti-law cop will have.

We filed a ballot measure yesterday and now need 434,000 signatures to put full legalization of marijuana for adults on the November ballot here in CA. I’d say they get the signatures within a day. Follow the guidelines in your county, help out the dispensary’s and they in turn, you if you're legal. The more people, the better because if it is legalized we’ll have another gold rush and we’ll all be high! Adios, Trainwreck. :joint:

I cannot believe I smoked something I grew. What's really astounding is it's just killer weed. I smoked one of the buds the day it was cut. Smooth, clean, and of course, hard to keep lit. She dried on the line for two days and went into a jar. She netted 36 grams of bud, 6g of bud leaves and 12g of big leaves dried. From the first day of drying until almost a week of curing, I'm finding little difference from the original high. It's like "Oh, no. I had too much." And it lasts for hours. Since she dried, she stays lit and smokes fine. I'm just not sure what the curing is doing. I've read a lot about harsh smoke with TW on RIU, but not so in this case. At all. Maybe it was the molasses.

Her clipping didn't take , but I'm hoping to buy another at the dispensary. I paid $15 for her. I loved her growing and I'm loving her dead. When I get another TW, I will use a larger pot (she was in 8”). I will buy better soil. I won’t veg her so long (50 days). I’ll tie her down earlier and more extensively. I ain’t complaining, tho.

This PK has been tortured since I brought her home as a clipping on April 1. She's been in flower for 42 days, was in veg 4ever at about 70 days. What I did wrong: Used a dirty pot (now I scrub them with soap), didn't bother to PH the water (tho I had strips, was off a small amount but seemed to rootlock it) and stunted it for weeks/month. Her side fan was unplugged for three days accidentally before she almost croaked. Many mishaps from a first-timer.

She's actually my first plant. TW bypassed her early. She keeps on keepin' on and smells a lot more than the TW. She had her first shot of molasses today (one tbsp. in hot water until dissolved and pour with rest of water/nutes as usual. I use Grandmas Original and got it in the baking section.)

After babying the crap out of a huge indica plant (I believe she's either nebula or hashberry) that grew to 40" and had to be topped for the second time the other day, she grew balls. Not a couple that were hard to see ~ they popped out yesterday and today have tripled. Also, from yesterday until today, she's grown flowers that look like they're full of seeds.

We'll take 'her' pollen and paint some on the purple kush when ready ~ probably tomorrow.

I had her in my harvest line-up so am now pushing some Romulans to go into flower when Indy comes out. The purple kush has another few weeks, then the Afghan Goo outside and then ... We're also starting new Indica seeds to keep the production in line.

I hope I get some purple kush seeds, though not purebred, because I wasn't able to keep her clippings alive.

I read a thread about swollen calyx's vs. actual dingleberries, so I'm putting pix of Goo whose all woman and Indy whose all man.

I thought I'd post updates of the next chop. I'm going to try and pollinate her ASAP to get seeds. She's into day 48 of flower. Quite the stinker.

Baby Romulans, Rummy and Rommy, are in veg. They popped from the seed and grew three nodes within a week. Keeping the light low on them so they don't outgrow their cab like Indy the Boy tried to do.

I figure by now I've saved about $160 by growing the wreckster and not buying at the shops. Every week I'll save more. I wished I'd thought of this years ago.

I gave the Afghan Goo another shot of SuperBloom (12-55-6), her second one, she got sick. And so did her friend out there, Bo Peep, the little lamb's bread. I took her out of the bathroom this morning and her bottom leaves were yellowed bad. She's had a small problem with brown spots that when looked at through the mic shows a small black bug on one side of the leaf or the other. So, like an ass, I spray her this a.m. with GardenTech Sevin. (Don't use in 85+ degrees and it was only about 76.) Well, as soon as it got to about 110 out there, I brought her in and she and her grow mate, Bo, are in the kitchen window. It's ignorant because the goo is 40" tall.

I flushed her with 9 buckets of water after I snapped out of my stupidity this morning. (Maybe I shouldn't wake up and smokethe wreckste in the middle of the night anymore.) I think she'll pull through. Really never noticed there was 12% nitro in the SB. Done with that ~ though used it on other 3 plants that are doing great. Maybe cuz she's outside ...

Pix don't show how crispy she is and I pulled a lot of leaves off of her before I took them. I hope it's overnuting and she's getting better. If it's the fucking bugs than I hope I killed them all.
