looks like a good area. from the pics looks like you'll find a couple spots where light should make it through. be careful not to take the same path to your plants every time. try and take a different route every time.
and i lost quite a few plants to deers last year. it was so sad. when i put them out they were 8" and when i went back a week later half of them were 24" and the other half were demolished by the deer's. so i got a product from a local grow shop that is a 'deer-off'. basically its a spray that is disgusting and smells so bad (its animal blood) but i sprayed it on the plants weekly for the first 5 weeks and no more problems.
i'd imagine that this plot is fairly close to your house. i know you've heard this, and probably hear it all the time, but the best thing to do is tell nobody what your doing, and definitely show nobody. if its your first time then you might get excited and want to show someone but don't. last year my friend heard from a friend who heard from a friend etc about a grow in a forest behind this guys house and a week before harvest time it was all gone. people love to talk about this stuff so dont let anyone have a chance to talk about yours.
good luck and let us know how it goes
