I have one girl that's almost ready for harvest and I am looking for a more cerebral high from this one for before work tokes

I know that I need cloudy trichs, but should I wait until a few of them turn amber? or is it ok if a few are still clear?
I've been flushing for a week now, I'm in soil, and I'm checking the trichs every day. They look mostly cloudy now, but with some clear ones still, so maybe that's partly cloudy haven't seen any amber at all yet. The buds themselves are hard too.

This is only my 3rd grow and I am most definitely still a newbie so I'm going to tell y'all my harvest plan and if you see any mods that need to be made let me know.

24 hours before I chop, I'll put her in a dark closet, I read that this will increase resin production. I also read something about sticking a nail or something in the main branch? Anyone have info on that? Sorry, no search really fucks me up

I'll chop her after 24 hours of dark, trim anything that doesn't have trichs on it, water cure a bit to get me though the longer jar curing for the rest. I'll take the bulk, hang it in the closet with a small fan for 5-7 days then put it in mason jars, loosely packed. Pop those open twice a day or so for 2-3 weeks. Then

https://www.rollitup.org/view.php?pg=faq&cmd=category&id=59 This is the harvesting and curing section of the grow faq, most of your questions can be answered here.Do NOT put a nail throught the stem, that is a stoner wive's tale, you're just gonna stress the plant, if anything.There is no proof that darkness before chopping increases resin production.If you want more resin, may I suggest on your next grow you add some uvb light, and keep it kinda dry in the grow room.Next, I would carefully trim each cola,and all the little buds from the bottom branches, and hang them all with space in between them and good air circulation to reduce the possibility of mold, which can be DEADLY. It may take about two weeks of hanging to get your bigger buds dry enough to place in the jars.Once again, you DO NOT want mold. Yea, I've read the faq, that's pretty much the info I based my plan on, except the dark and nail thing. I let my last crop dry too long because I was waiting for the stems to snap cleanly, and afraid of mold so the time frames are really just a general outline, I'll keep check on them to see if they are ready for the next stage. I want to get it right, or close to, this time!
