You want bigger leaves, not taller plants. Put the lights back closer. And you can get a quarter with CFLs no problem. Just keep adding as many as you can.

im a noob but my first grow which now is about 12 inches but the nodes are bout 3/4 to1/2 inch apart which allowed all my shoots yime to stretch to brake the surface now i have like 10 colas at the same level as the main shoot, close to the light!

Heres an update for yalll....now tell me , i tried to get the best picture i could but could these be what i think they are? Is it possible to see signs of pre flowers as only 3 weeks into veg??????? Bare with me with the photos they are a little blurry. Can anybody make anything out??

N0o0o0o!!!!.. lol.. not even, i'm in my 4th week and I have a total of 11 weeks to go. So i'm just going to split the cycle in half... 6.5 Veg 6.5 Flowering...
I found out online that my strain takes appx.. 11 weeks.
Check online for that, or keep it at a minimum of 5-6 weeks in veg man. You want it to atleast have developed properly.

True, I thought about it and I'd rather let it veg for at least 4 weeks. She looks so ready tho! And this morning I woke up opened my closet door to be engulfed in a compressed cloud of STINK!!! Yes thats right, I was just as shocked. The smell is a sweet and grape smelling kind of skunk so im beginning to think its got some purple genes. Turns out those thing growing out the nodes are female pre flowers, she is comming along nicely. I can't stop sniffin her either!

OK so after bending the shit outta my plant my friend insisted that my plant is a male. Basically the only thing i can see are two little leaves growing out from the stem. Its three weeks now, is it still too early to tell??? How long before i see the little white pistils on the female parts? I tried to get a pic for you guys. And heres a pic of my cat Squarehead. And another pic of some of the weed ive been smoking, pretty decent outdoor.

I don't think so... turniing should actually be good, cuz it promotes even growth.

are u flowering it allready? if not you will not know the sex untill you begin 12/12 and usually not till 1 or 2 weeks after... if u are flowering i couldnt really tell the sex yet so its probally to early. Good luck man -_-
