My plant is possibly dieing whats the cause? pics

I really dont understand what this plant did this , they are on 12/12 and have almost doubled in size in the last two weeks. The only right next to it is in wonderful condition. I havent nuted them in 4 days it has been strait water. any ideas?

the ph is between 6 and 7 temps are 79f with the light on and 74f without light.
yea straight tap water I get it right from the tap by my well.

looks like they are standing in a swamp , the roots aren't getting any oxygen, does the planter have good drain holes? is it setting in a catch tray full of water? can you transplant into a taller container with dry soil to help the roots get o2?

I just gave them a rinse before I took the pics, because I was testing drain off thats the reason there is still standing water. I use a 1/5 perlite 1/5 verm and 3/5 soil from a local plant shop

Ok one of them died and the other one seems to have started to follow the same fate it did. I have been taking extra good care of it and the leaves appear half dead, with a brownish discoloration. All the new growth toward the bottom seems to be doing wonderful just growing very slowly.
