okay so a few days ago i got more lights for my setup. so all together i had one 24" 17watt flourescent, three 13watt clfs, and one 26watt cfl.

when i first started i only had the 24" fluorescent and my plants were doin great. then when i added the cfl's my plants got even better! they got greener and started growing faster.

but yesturday i noticed that one of the cfls had been REALLY close to one of the plants and the 2 biggest leaves on the plant were dieing. so i moved the cfl a lil further from the plant and i got rid of the 24" Fl and just kept the clfs. so then today i check on my plants and now TWO of them have dieing leaves and i noticed the insde of my grow box was really hot.

i hav come to the conclusion that i have to many lights for such a TINY area and that there is too much heat for my plants to handle. does that sound right? i took two of the cfls out so not i only have two on.

what should i do to fix this problem?

What are your temps in the grow box..........and you can have both as long as ventilation is adequate

Well too much light is definitely not the prob temps should be around 75-78 degrees fahrenheit and have good air circulation, nutrients could be prob etc. etc..... your gonna have to give some more info so the problem can be resolved

What are the temperature readings in your grow room????? 75-78 degrees is optimum 80's tolerable 90's and higher can be deadly.Proper air circulation is vital and can cool down your room temps (if outside air is cooler).Ohh yeah those cups look kinda transparent this could cause problems also roots should not be exposed to light
