My plants are messed up and i dont know what to do!!!!

Should i get an ec meter or ppm meter for testing the nute water. I am just guessing right now because i'm on a tight budget. I will be getting both if i have to soon.

I checked the runoff and as i suspected the color indicator pointed to a ph of 5 or below. I tested it with distilled water and that had a ph of 5.6 so idk if that had anything to do with it. How much ph up do i add to a gallon of water? how long do i wait to check it again after adding it? Thanks for the help. any help is greatly appreciated.

I was also wondering if i should add the ph up to the water, or just the nute water every time i water?

1st. DONT WATER with NUTES EVERY WATERING. 2nd, IF YOU STARTED USING NUTES WITH FRESH NEW SOIL, that could be the cause. The soil has enough FERTS in it to LAST the 1st MONTH. no need to FEED the 1st 30days of using FF soil

Thanks for the info. I havent been. I feed once a week. I only do that to my speed devil right now. My other plants are not in flowering yet. Could i only use ph up with nutes only or plain water to? I would like to fix the ph as soon as possible because my plants are getting big and i dont want to flower them till the ph problem gets fixed.

I have flushed all my plants and have gotten the ph of all the runoff to increase to 6 without adding anything. I mixed ph up in a gallon of water. I added the ph up with an eye dropper til the ph of the water was 7. Should i pour some of my nute water out and add the ph up water till the ph is balanced? I do not have an ec or ppm yet? what is the best option? Any help is greatly needed.

Soil growers don't often use PPM meters. We usually just use measurements as our fertilizer levels don't need to be anywhere near as exact as with hydro. It would, of course, be very useful though.

After flushing, you want to let the soil dry extra well before watering again because flushing is overwatering; the beginning of it, at least. You'll also want to feed them extra well the next watering because the flushing washed all of their nutrients away.

Your nutrient solution- how old is it? Organic ferts don't usually stay good for more than a few days unrefrigerated, once mixed. However you adjust your ferts, add more if you dilute them. As we said, the flushed plants will need full strength food next watering. You can just add the proper pH adjuster to a fertilizer mix without adding more water.

Thanks for the help. I would have gotten nowhere if you didn't help me. I use the fox farm line of nutes. I just found out that only one of the products is truely organic.
