My Plants Are Suffering, please help!!

I have posted on this issue before, but my problem doesn't get better, only worse. Everyone is saying it's either Heat Stress, or Light Stress, or Low Humidity; but it's bloody not!!
I mean like check out the temperature. It's fine, humidity is also fine. I don't understand what is wrong with them.

  • I have a 12" oscillating fan on; I have another small 6" fan on.
  • The extractor is not the best, I am gonna up the power soon. At the moment I have two 8cm pc fans. I have ordered three 12 cm pc fans which I'll replace the latter two with. However, that shouldn't matter at the moment as I have my door open all the time. So the whole capacity of air in the house is free to enter.
  • I tried to raise the lights like 3 ft, and no avail. Now it is at around 2ft (600W MH), when you put your hand under at the leaf level, you don't feel any sear — besides the thermometer clearly shows that the temp is perfect.
  • I even started to mist them in the morning when the lights go out to raise the moisture in the foliage.
  • I am also worried about the golden-dust like spots on the lower leaves, is there deficiency?

Info in brief:

Soil:

1/3Multi-purpose potting compost, 1/3 Vermiculite, 1/3 Perlite

Ph of run-offs is 6.4

Light:

600W MH open hood, produces a lot of heat

Water:
Tap water let to settle for 24hrs, PHed down to 6.5 by apple cider vinegar

Feed:
No feed has been used thus far.

Thanks everyone.

P.S. One plant is FIMed, and two others topped so that's why there is very little new growth.

I'm know expert but I would not use Apple cider vinegar from experiences from the past that Shit is lethal even if it is diluted just saying peace.

Dude I can tell you right now it's ph! Flush your soil. I've had this happen to me many times b4 I bought a ph pen when I feed and test the run off. And stop the vinegar get the proper lower highering solution . And 2-3 tbsp of dolomite lime for every gallon of soil used next time this will help out you ph problem and balance the soil.

Be careful with the apple cider vinegar. It can be used as a fertilizer for plants, in the correct dosage. I worry that you are using that to "ph down" your water. How much are your plants really getting? If you are using this every time you water your plants, I'm thinking that would be too much. Just my 2 cents. Good luck

You PH-fucked them.

If you wanted to be a chemist, should've knuckled-down more in high-school.

I'd suggest you start using regular tap water and stop dicking around with it. I'd also suggest you flush the arse out of your soil, but it already looks so wet I'd be a bit sus about the roots rotting-up already.

Certainly stop trying to be clever PH adjusting, anything, that clearly failed.

Hi, thanks. They are (the bigger ones) about 16 days old, the smaller ones about 7 days. I water them when about 3/4 inch depth is dry, that roughly works out every 2-3 day. They were watered yesterday actually, so they defo aren't thirsty :D.

I don't really measure the dosage of water I give them. I would say roughly about 3-4 dl (deciliter) every 3 days. The 12" fan is about 3 ft away from the plants very close to the open door, so it helps to suck in fresh air.

Thanks for your reply.

They get like 0.3–0.4 liter every 3 days, it really depends how dry they are. Sometimes I only give them a tiny sup of water just around the stem. I used to use a lemon juice prior to apple cider vinegar; the problem existed already then. It's there nearly since they were born, it just get wose as they grow.

Jaysus man, what's up with you, why are you so mean?! For your info; I am not trying to be a fuc*ing chemist. I did some research on forums on this and a lot of people said it was just fine (if not growing hydro). Why would I use regular tap water when the pH is like 7.6??!!

Daithy,
I have no problem with the perlite in your soil...but 1/3 vermiculite is contrary to well draining soil. With all those little sponges in there...could it be keeping the soil too soggy? Have you used that mix before?

Don't be a sook.

Have a look on the weekend at your neighbours watering their gardens. They use a garden hose, and are *their* plants so unhealthy? Cannabis might produce a good product, but as a plant it's really not that special in it's needs, and certainly doesn't need any fairy-magic-water to grow healthy. Regular 7.0 tap water will be fine. Anything that applies to common vegetables can be used and applied to cannabis.

Maybe I'll set this next line as my signature:

If you're using potting-mix as your base DO NOT MESS WITH PH. Seriously, it's wanna-be-hydro-for-dummies, and it always ends in tears.

If you are *truly* hellbent on having a perfect PH, next time mix lime into your soil *before* using it or potting-up, but plants can tolerate a range of PH without suffering at all and there's very rarely the need to adjust or add anything: potting mix is fine right out the bag.

Never hurts to check ph. After adding nutes my ph is around 4. Want me to feed that shit to. Plants? Haha

No, this is my first indoor grow. I saw this mix on Youtube video, and it was recommended. Check it out at around 19 mins..
