Hi
I had a disaster today. I currently have 6 white widow female plants in veg mode (18/6, soil). The plants are 4 weeks old. I had a power cut to-day and my plants received an extra 12 hours of darkness. I re-adjusted the timers and put them back onto their normal cycle of 18/6.
Do you think the plants have suffered in any way, will they recover? I’m switching them to 12/12 this weekend, under a 400hps.

Thanks in advance

i think they should be fine. this has happened to me before while my babies were flowering and it didnt hurt them. i would of just thrown them into flowering after that 12 hrs of darkness tho

agreed one both counts. if you've already given them 12 hours extra darkeness, it's probably best to put it into flower now (while i'm not keye up on any solid proof, there is a lot of mention of a dark period prior top going 12/12 which encourages the plant to realise what is happening or such). plus as said, it will be absolutely fine :)

I dont think you have anything to worrie about, there only veging and I have heard of people that give there plants extra darkness going into flower, never done it myself so I dont know if it has any effect or not.I had a grow cabinet in my bedroom and my wife used to knock the plug out of the wall a few times a week and I only had 1 hermie in 2 grows.I would change out those timers for digital ones, once there set you dont have to adjust the time when the power goes out and there more accurate than the other type in my opinion. good luck peace and grow on

your girls won't have any problems and i wouldn't start flowering just because of the extra 12. stick with your orginal plans for flowering.
