My raised beds

Back with a little update.

I realize I have made a novice mistake by putting my cabbage and broccoli plants too close together. I went off the chart in the famous Square Foot Gardening book instead of going off the tag that came in the plants. For cabbage and broccoli is called for 1 plant per square. The tags called for 24" on the cabbage and 18" on the broccoli. Oh well, maybe, just maybe some cabbage heads will form and some broccoli sprouts with emerge. But and you can see in the photo, it is awfully crowded. The radishes in the lower right corner look amazing. The onions are doing really well. And the lettuce, which doesn't mind to be crowded, is going to have the outside leaves harvested for some salads tonight!

Here I have some Yukon Gold potatoes coming up. I swear I can see the growth throughout the day they are growing so fast!

And just for kicks, one of my compost piles!

Some lettuce, radishes and a green onion I harvested this morning. These simple 3 ingredients, put together for lunch today, made for one of the bests salads I have ever had.
