Well sadly I over nuted the mother a few weeks back, and she never bounced back so shes dead..but the good news is that now I can focus more so on the rest of the plants.

She made 6 super strong clones, the rest were killed off, so Im gonna transplant one of them outside when the daylight hours shorten so it can begin budding, I just havent found the exact location yet, so stay tuned for that and I probably will use one of them as a mother in the future, but for now I have some beautiful looking clones, some excellent plants flowering and no regrets.

I'll begin this update with her babies

Each one is about 7" tall and have two heads and a bunch of growth shoots ready for cloning. They are still growing under that 1 - 26W warm CFL, but next payday hopefully that will be updated to a 2x2ft fluoro tube..need to do more research on wattages and lumen output then Im sure I'll be making a purchase.

My outdoor grow has been cut down to one single plant due to the death of the other one and some unexpected activity in the yard (rabbits? deer? skunk? I dunno...) Here's a pic of the only plant remaining..hoping for a female or a hermie.

and now on to the flowering plants...

Day 58/Flowering day 34

Due to the late death of the mother, these have really become my main focus.

the damn white widow is a hermie, I found that out a couple weeks ago..so I just cut the balls off and they havent returned..yet..but so far she's looking pretty good. I'll come back after I've watered them and give U guys some more pics of the plants. The Nitrogen def seems to have stopped or slowed down after a couple feedings of the veg nutes and the bud production has sped up a little. The Mr.Nice is doing alright also..I noticed a lot of stretching and yellowing from this strain, if anyone has grown it and has any advice please feel free to give me ur input.

This is going to be the next mother I'm going to re-veg tho..

my pride and joy and the moment..the NYCD is a beautiful plant to grow..very easy to grow, very strong against bugs and deficiencies...unfortunately I didnt take any clones from this one prior flowering bcuz I thought she was a dude! proved me wrong..she ended up being the best looking one out of the bunch. So this plant will pic up where the other one left off when it comes time. till then U guys keep bumping my thread to the top and I'll keep it updated with progress.

thanks

some pointers Ive found out..its best to underwater /underfeed than it is to overwater/over feed bcuz its easier to remedy and the plant still has lots of food and things it needs to stay alive in it by the end of flowering so try not to overdo it.

Also dont put the plant in cheap potting mix or soil bcuz bad thigns will happen that you cant reverse.

you should probably start a journal on the reveg/grow when it happens bcuz we have lots of people on this site who are very knowledgeable on the subject and are more than willing to help out

take as many cuttings as you can whenever you think they are mature enough to develop roots..just in case anything happens to the mother you will not be out of luck bcuz you will already have clones.

umm..thats all I can think of off the top of my head I'll be sure to come back if I think of anymore..:peace: and good luck

Great bit of info there spittn. A good friend of mine who's a chef told me that exact bit of advice, but related it to food. Best to add too little salt than add too much cause you can't take the salt out but if undersalted you can always add a little!
(I was baked when he told me that, so it was like a divine inspiration moment!!, could swear i seen that man's aura as he told me!!) hehe

And the clone advice is spot on. I wished i took a few before, labeled them so you know what plant it came from and, like you said, you will not be disappointed when you see that genetically perfect mother develop b4 your very watchful eyes

Just thinking, I'm 2 weeks into flowering, is that too late to clone some of the very young and spritely new shoots that are formed on the base of my plant's???

Im in the process of harvesting my first grow. I grew 5 plants total, 2 "Nurple" (both male), 2 Oasis (females), and one PPP (female)

I waited too long to clone mainly bcuz of financial reasons but now that I've got everything under control I plan on revegging my best female which was the PPP plant in order to use her as a mother and take clones from her. I will use this journal to document my progress. I need everyones help on this one since there arent many how-to's on the net about re-vegging.

Here she is prior harvest:

since then I have read a few FAQ's on re-vegging.What I've learned is that you need to:

1.)Harvest the top 2/3 of the plant, leaving the bottom 1/3 in tact

2.)Cut the rootball down to a smaller mass

3.)Re-pot the plant into fresh soil

4.)cut the plant down to just above the bottom node

5.)The plant is to be on a 24/0 light cycle for the first two weeks, then lights will be cut back to 18/6.

I will still be using my CFL's to reveg, the plant is currently under 6 26w CFL's, hopefully by the time I take clones I will have my HID.

My plan is to feed the plant as normal, I'll start feedings with plain water from the humidifier (which is pretty high in N and P) until the plant looks as if it is hungry, then I'll begin feeding at 1/4 strength and get progressively stronger each week, using my miracle gro (15-30-15) ferts.

I'll be back to post update pics with progress.
I really need the help of you experienced growers on this one, Im counting on you

:peace:

How was everyones weekend?

I hope it was as great as mine. My girlfriend spent the night friday, and saturday my mother shocked both of us by telling us my family reunion was later on that day! It was kinda a shock, but we had a blast. My girlfriend always complained about how she never met my family, but saturday she got to meet my ENTIRE family lol. I had 1/2oz of herb and a bottle of gin and my girlfriend and I got shitfaced with my first cousins..we had fun, great way to welcome her to the family!

Jiffy Pots

Jiffy Cubes/Peat Pellets

And yeah the Jiffy Pots do suck..or so I've heard. I hear they make em really hard for the roots to break thru...

But the Jiffy Cubes are fantastic for me. I've never had any problems with the roots not being able to break thru the netting on the peat pellets. They dont hold too much or too little moisture which is perfect for germination and clones..I swear by them, Im never gonna use anything else for seedlings or clones until I get a lil more money and experience under my belt.

Im about to head out to walmart to get some more nutes and lights now. So I'll be back in a couple days with some updates for yall :peace:

Hi!

I use jiffy pots since many years for growing up my plants, this year first time of growing Marijuana. Last week i transplanted them to bigger pots, and the roots looked very nice, they had no problem to break through the jiffy pots.

They eventually just fall apart don't they? Jiffy pots that is. I used them way back when, didn't see anything wrong with them.

I never realized that I didnt finish this journal. actually it didnt finish since it was a SoG.

from one plant

from the other

all that bud. but no thc! whats the point of smoking that shit?

the smoke was ok, one plant too close to 14.5 weeks to finish. it never had any crystals so it wasnt as potent as it coulda been. I finished with just over 3oz dry.

Ive upgraded from the CFL's to a 400W HPS lighting system and I bought a premade hydroponic kit.

next grow is on the way
