My room plan but need advice in lighting.

This image below is my idea for a grow room.

My idea is a 4 veg plants and 8 flower plants (chronic smoker:P ) I'll be using from what ive learnt to be best for VEG is a CMH or MH, 250watt and above which ever is recommended. For my flower room ive always gonna roll with HPS. But now im reading that people are talking about HPS mixed in with a CMH, giving a flowering plant its main flower spectrum (red) and the additional spectrums a plant can benefit from being from the CMH. So now im thinking with 8 flower plants, I will need 2 HPS considering 1 HPS does usually 4 plants and well thats what i was orginally gonna do but now thinking i gonna add in this CMH, Wich wattage?? I dont know i still need advice on this part.
On top of this im thinking about these UVB bulbs that reptile carers use. From what ive read with these. Is that these arnt the source of light u rely on they are the addons so to speak. Well these bulbs are supposed to help with hardening the crystals considering ull plant is trying to sunblock itself form them hard rays its thickening its armour (being THC).

OK now ive got all these ideas for these bulbs my problem is where do i put them how do i place the,??

This is my grow room idea.

EDIT: So whats ur thought on;

Adding that CMH into my flower room?
Adding them reptile globes into the flower room
And also using the CMH in my veg room?

the two 600W will flower those 8 plants fine, imo. save some ducats and lose the 400W in the middle. the reptile lights are a nice touch for natural light. make sure your goggles/glasses are UV rated.

I know the 2 600's will be fine but is it worth adding in that CMH?

Why the goggles do people need these goggles when they own a reptile to look into their reptile tank?

Hey man, first off you need to think about the size of your plants when deciding how many will go under each light. A 600w light will cover a 4x4 area. A 400w light will do 3x3. If you are growing smaller plants then you might be able to get more plants than just 4 under each light or you might be able to get less lights. You could easily fit 9 plants that are 3' tall at the end of flower under 1 600w light.

I honestly think you are trying to put too many and too much light in that room. I would lose the CMH in the flower room like Sgrogs said. You might be able to get rid of 1 of the HID lights too. Positive you could fit everything under a 1000w light but I don't know your height restrictions. It just seems like too much light trying to get "Perfect" spectrum mix. The reason people use MH or CMH is because of the UVA & UVB light that it has in it's spectrum. Adding it though means that you will have to get another hood and magnetic ballast. I would stick with the UVB reptile lights. I actually use Resptisun UVB 10 bulbs in my flower. I think that is a better route to go. This way you can get some UVB fluoros and have a great plant coverage without having to constantly rotate your plants under the CMH. Just be careful with the UVB lights. Start them off 3' from your plants and only for a few hours. Your plants need to harden off to them. They can burn your plants easily in the first few weeks. As they get used to the lights you can move them closer and leave them on for longer times. CMH for veg is great.

Remeber that UVB lights will add some serious heat to your room. The way you have that room setup now you would need some big time cooling. Between 2 HID lights, the CMH, and the UVB lights you would probably need a dedicated a/c. That is a ton of heat. Especially if you have the ballasts in the room. The other thing with the UVB lights is to protect your eyes like Scrogs said. UVB will burn your eyes with extended exposure. I would just put them on a switch and turn them off when you are in the room. I made this mistake and after a few times in the room with them on I realized my eyes were fucked up when I left the room. I turn them off anytime I am in the room now.

Good luck man.

you don't wear eye protection? i do. people don't work around their reptiles as much as a gardener does his plants. i like the UV light idea. the closer to nature, the better, imo.

Thanks mate this does help alot. I will lose the CMh it was jsut an idea. Now knowing that the uvb will be doing the same as CMH, This will help me decide. I still will be using the 2 HPS though because whateva the fuck my plants are (bagseed) they are big bitches and srsly they aint stopping their growth. (this picture is the last week of Veg 4th week) Now im into my 3rd week of flowering and well im still waiting for them fukne budds to come but theyr near 1.5 metre tall theyr just wanna reach for the fuken sky and the light is almost 10 centimetres from the tops of my plants. since they love to rise high im thinking of scrogging so the idea of 2 HPS is needed by the looks of my plants.

Plus im always gonna have a A/C i think. I wish they had thermo stats Centrifugal fans out there that would be a godsend.
The only thing im not liking is that if i scrogg..its gonna be a bitch changing the reso's or topping up reso's.

DAMN!! Those are some BIG BITCHES!! LOL

They look really good and super healthy man. Nice job.

You said your light is 10cm away from your plant. If you have 400w lights then that is ok but with 600w lights back them off to about 20-30cm from your plant. If they are too close you can have light bleaching issues once your buds start to form. I agree with you man, I wouldn't do a SCROG. Look into tomato cages or just tying the taller branches down a little.

I think you are asking for a thermostat fan speed controller. They make them. Most hydro stores sell them. They look something like this. You just plug the fan into them and then set the temperature you want. They work great.

I just wish they will hurry the fuck up and budd quicker its close to middle of third week.

EDIT: FUCK sorry i thought them pics were right way up i edited them must of uploaded the old ones sorry for the sore necks

Nice man. What you want is a simple tomato cage. Google it. Skinny side goes down. You can get them over there for sure.
Oh yeah mate lol ofcourse i know them and yeah we got them. Ive got bluddy rectangle fencing wire so making 8 cages wont be that hard or expensive :) These are basically to hold them branches in place right no falling over?

Exactly. You can buy them or make your own out of fencing. You just put the branches through to hold them up. Plants grow more evenly too when inside of them. Plus you can use the cage to tie up anything that get's real long.
