My run using HydroGrow leds 189X-PRO extreme LEDS

Any plans on running the hgl sol?

Only have seen one grow so far from vg. I'd like to see one of the larger model sols just out of curiosity

I would love to. But like I said before this is my third light from a third company. I'm pleased with results from this grow...reason I choose the extreme model over the Sol model was because I was able to find independent growers who had the light and loved it. So I went with it ,had a hard time finding more than one grow with the Sol. So taking the safer route with the extreme. When I buy another it more than likely will be another extreme.

I had the Sol9. The light lost one full 100w chipset and also half of another in 4 months. It wasn't my light, but I was growing for someone else. They now have that broken light and I don't think it was ever fixed. I spent 2 weeks trying to get it warrantied. Gave up when my partner started to become a problem. It did prove to me that COBs are the way to go, but not HGL's.

Pardon my ignorance ..what are COBs? And why are they the way to go?

Chip on board, that is what the Sol9 uses. Part of my grow (4 plants) did great, but the other 9 I had where crap ( first time doing DWC and hydro, my fault). With these, no lenses are need and you can use reflectors more like your hps hoods. The light spread is much better. I never liked having a sharp light cut off at the perimeter of my panel.

I wanted to thank you personally, someone from hydro grow contacted me and asked did I want to do a test grow using the SOL series, and that they would gift me the lights to do so, All i have to do is document the grow AND I GET TO KEEP THE LIGHTS!!!

How the hell do you work those things out? Shit I'd run what the hell ever for free to test out. I'd even do a comparison against either or both A51s. I have a whole bedroom to use.out side of that closet. LOL

I got lucky this time...Im guessing some one from the company saw Positivity' post and they asked did i want to try it.....I was like hell yeah!! I don't know or care what others think on this subject.....This compant ROCKS!!

Cool..can't wait to see it. Let's see what their multichips can do. I'm always down for led grow reports
