My second grow Kandy Kush

Hey guys! Its day like 16.5 right now and I can see smell being an issue later in the future. So is it a bad idea to start 12/12 at like week 3? Which would be about 4 or 5 days from now.

I have the KK and one thing she does is stretch. Just saying.

Shes a dank ass bitch that has massive yield potentials IF you help her support her colas up to good strong light. She will take brighter light than most strains and she loves food. Keep her canopy at 80 w/o CO2 and 85 with. Stink factor is way up there, lots of musky kushy diesel aroma more fuel oil smell than anything imo.

Oh yeah she will grow sideways like an invasive species. Shes super freaky. Very easy to scrog.

She sure did for me. Shes odd though, heavy limbs going sideways a lot taking over area of other plants. Of course mine vegged for 10 weeks before flip and I was so glad she liked spreading out. Truly a stretch factor but it can be trained sideways easily with a trellis (scrog)

Note: my experience is in a sealed basement room under 1kW hps lights in hydro with CO2 and AC. Out of three 5 gallon pots I nicked a total of just over 35 ounces of log. Could have done better if I had a trellis in place prior to 12/12. They were over 6.5 feet tall and 5 feet wide, I had to pull tops over sideways and they curl up like bananas. Obviously vegged her way too long or not lol...

She was a solid 10 week flower time for me. Any sooner and your short changing yourself.

Wow, 35 oz seems great to me, lol. Thanks for the pointers, scrog sounds like a good idea.

Day 18: growth seems good but the bottom leaves tips are yellowing. I think it's under watering because I hadn't watered since Friday so after these pics I gave her 16 oz of water. Does anyone think its another issue?

Lower leaves usually get yellow while growing ! I wouldn't worry

That is not from under watering. Especially in 3 days.

Almost looks like the leaf tips were drooping at night when sleeping and resting on soil and therefore causing the damage. That is just one guess tho. Its not serious at this point tho so ya wouldn't worry unless other leaves loom affected.

I can;t wait to get my hands on this strain again. Last year I lost my outdoor crop to robber barons. And to top it all off my buddy killed the mom of her. But alas all is not lost as I know the man we got the clone from in the first place. Road trip soon!! lol BTW I'll be keepin tabs on this one so I can see what they finish like. ....J

This might sound stupid to me, but from what I've been reading could it be a nitrogen deficiency?

I can't call you Bobn bro, my twisted mind and all. So I'm just going to call you B24. I hope you are not offended lol. As green as your baby is I seriously doubt you have a nitrogen def. TBH I am with LOH on this one. Just let her do her thing and don't start feeding her yet, give her time to get well established. Fox farms is fairly hot so any additional food can and will burn her. To help combat the smell i find that if keep my temps down around 70-75 deg. and humidty 75-80% in veg my girls don't stink. Now strains are different so you would have to experiment to find out. If you run your temp and humidty like that though you want to have a good fan going because theirs alot of moisture in the air. Check my journal to see for yourself, obviously you can't give em the ole whiff test, but you can see that the leaves are relaxed and happy. Happy plants don't stink IMHO. I would use the same temps in flower, but lower the humidity to at least 60% preferably 50% or lower. Looking forward to seeing this girl go....Rock On B24....I wanna see that bitch all frosty like ....J

Nothing wrong with your plant. Those are 'baby' leaves and they will drop in time. New growth looks great.

Hey guys, day 20: Thanks for all of the comments and for taking the time to look at my grow. When do you guys think i should switch to 12/12? I dont even have a timer yet... lol. My box is probably 2' wide, 2' deep, and probably around 3' tall. All of these are just rough estimates though. I'll post pics later.

Are you gonna SCROG it? If not then expect it to triple in height after 12/12.

I might try to scrog. I don't know yet though.
