Hey guys. Well my little seedling has passed on lol. I need some help with this unsure what i did wrong. This is what i have to start off with. I have a humidity dome and tray along with a seedling mat to raise germination temps. I am using 1 inch rockwools then transplanting to 4 inch. i think for this time i am going to try soaking the seed in a cup of water then transplant to the little cube like green man did on his video's. once the sprout breaks the surface what should my next course of action be under lights and water the cube when it goes dry? does it still need to be in the humidity dome by then? and should i still use the heating mat under it, with the lid off? any help would be great guys really want to get this going i got the first seedling to the first set of 3 leafs then it began to wilt and fall over limp. I have never started from seeds before and am using a hydro set-up.

No humidity dome that's for clones, no heatpad after bean cracks. Don't let the cube go dry but don't oversoak it either.
Shake excess water out if you overdo it. Under light as soon as it cracks. 70-85f temperatures.

I would bet though that you missed the most overlooked tiny detail and that's to have a fan on it enough to make it move just a little from day one so the stem grows strong. No wind makes for a spindly seedling too weak to hold itself up right at the point your died.

Well that and lights too far away will also make it stretch too much and can cause it to croak the same way.

And the last rule is plant more than one.

Thanks man hopefully these ones live. I only planted one seed because i only have 10 from amsterdam Blueberry x Skunk #1 feminized paid like hundred bucks so i was figuring get one mother going then i still have a bunch of seeds left. But this time i will grow 2. I think i probably put it in rock wool to late as well the tap root was a little under a 1/4 inch sprouted i was at work and by the time i got back it just sprouted so quickly.

I'd do four at least because you could still have half die and that gives you some choice as to which of them is best when it's time to create clones. All seeds do not make the best or top producing bud every single time. Some do die too, it's not 100% from seed, plan for a little mortality even done perfectly.

It was fine if it made it to leafs your planting after it had a root sticking out wasn't the problem. (wow must be high)

Oh also you need to ph test the cube soaking in water after it has soaked a day before using it, then use a flick of the wrist to get the extra water out. Start the cubes soaking in time to be ready and again shake out excess water, a few flicks of the wrist until it stops coming out but still is somewhat heavy. (yep very high)

And no tap water for this, get some good clean purified water. And no nutrients at all to start.

Thanks man that was a good peice, didnt sound stoned lol. yeah it made it to the point where the first true leafs were a nice green colour and i could notice size difference everytime i looked nice and healthy then this morning i woke up and it was laying down i didnt have a fan on it, i had my desk side cfl about 2 inches away from it in a mesh pot full of hydroton (seed in rockwool obviously) and i would just spray it with a spray bottle of RO water ph'd to 5.6, just a couple of mists too. Before i put the sprouted seed in the RW i had soaked the cube for like ten minutes in the same 5.6 RO water no nutes. Just dont know where it went bad? i pulled it out and the roots didnt look that developed for the amount of new growth on the surface. ? Thanks for the input guys.

PS forgot to mention that it was sitting on a seedling heat pad as well.

Well it's been 3 days and my seedlings are an inch tall already! I got the fan on them and a cfl 2 inches away till i get them under my 400watt next week.

i would probably lean towards the drip system since i have a ebb and flow set-up, I just dont know that much about the dripp setup like how often to drip or is it continues? if you got some infor on that, that would be awesome.
