yes it is a great determinate of the viability of the seeds? I rarely ever have had a floater crack and sprout and then grow into a strong healthy female...even if they crack which is rare they usually grow into weak,slow sickly plants that are more prone to pest and disease....I toss floaters......and thankfully I don't get to many....out of 26 seeds i dropped in water this run, only 2 were floaters, i toss them and plant the sinkers.....3 days later every sinker has broke the soil line..........:mrgreen:

haze x skunk #1 has popped finally....one of the kill bill seeds was a twin....one of the 2 sprouts from the one seed died, it's cotyledons turned white and then into mush the other sprout is very strong and survived........been growing a long time...that's the first time I've had twins......Heard of it many times though.....
 
ok things are starting to move along now.......dropped my light a little closer..........kill bill seems to have the most vigor so far.....good old hybrid vigor...the willies was pretty slow to sprout but it is an IX1........hope it is as good as the original williams wonder...I've heard mixed reviews.......heard nothing but good stuff about that chemdog double-d though....woooot.....



 
update......everything going great........just put the babies in some new pots with ocean forest soil.....i didn't like the light warrior...to weak...i guess it's supposed to be because it's for seedlings..but i prefer growing from seed right in the ocean forest from the beginning ...never burned a seedling and they get good growth right from the start..things seem to be going a little slow in this light warrior......probably just because i don't use the whole fox farm line and feeding schedule though...any ways I'm going to what I do normally...and speed this up....LOL..
