My Soon to be Grow cupboard

So, after finding an awesome, and very inspiring post on another forum, thougt i would save myself the 30 mile round trip to pick up weed, and just grow my own :hump:

Basically i have a bedside cupboard, Set up will be:

125w red spectrum CFL
2x Zalman ZM-F1 quiet pc fans
Homemade reflector

Now, i have a few questions, Is it better to Paint the inside white, or to line with foil or similar product?

Also for smell control, I was thinking off Something with plenty off holes so air can travel through it, But so i can hold carbon in it if you catch my drift? I would mount it onto the exit fan in the cupboard. Would this work?

Im playing on growing various strains off the Lowryder strain. On 18/6 all the way through.

Cheers, i may change it to another cupboard i have in my room which is bigger, but is split to hold my clothes, so may keep heat in too much. Will update tomorow when i got most of it set up and ill order my stuff on friday :D

Seeing as i didnt get any replys, i just painted the inside white. Sides got 2 coats, 1 coat on door, top and bottom.

Also rigged my door up, im proud off it, it looks great from the outside except im shit with hinges and have mounted it so theres now a gap, but ill fix that with some silicone.

Just going to check my bank and see if i have enough to order a few things now! Im eager to get this cracking :P

It would have to be tiny surely? theres not alot of space, will fit 2 lowryders at a squeeze i think?

can you not cut a slit down one side and mount the filter on the outside, pulling the air through? box off any filter showing on the outside so only pulling the air from the inside

Its too obvious, wish i could, but its got to be as stealthy as possible, Could i not put active carbon in something and attach it on the inside of the exit fan? Surely one lowryder isnt going too smell that much, its not got a high smell from what iv read.

every plant will smell! if your going stealthy i would add a timber frame inside the cupboard where the door shuts, light is going to flood out everywhere there!

i have tried active homemade filters, they work SLIGHTLY, i tried 4 or 5 designs before buting a proper one

Why not just invest in some ona gel and slap it everywhere, or use the method which was shown on here get a bucket drill holes and lots of holes all round the top of bucket will with 4-6 inches of water and half a tub or a full tub of ona gel and rest a oscilating fan ontop of bucket blowing into it.

Autos stink get the thought of not smelly out the window your best bet is to buy some carbon filters for a cooking hood put it behind your exhaust fan and get some masking smells like ona get your space is not large enough to run thows really good carbon filters but their are other ways to get at oder control mines not set in stone Lol

If i can barely fit 2 plants in there, how am i going to fit a fan and a bucket of water? Yes i will be patching up the holes with wood to keep in the light. Yeh i know its going ti smell, but theres obviously a difference between a very potent smell and a general weed smell, When i had a low ryder growing on my window it didnt reek, smelt of blueberrys tbh, hence it was a blue ryder ;) But once i got my light ill rig it in there so i can get on with patching the leeks up and mounting etc :)

Yeh superbub, i was looking at them on ebay and not sure how they would work? there only cheap so i may aswell buy some !

They work ok not greatest in the world lol but its better than nothing but masking is the better option for small grows I too am running a similar grow and the issue I was facing is space in cabin to grow plus not having much space for a big oder control system and having enough air flow for heat control so I bought my filter at Walmart I also bought an ac air fresheners its like a mat with jell lined on it cut of a small strip and put it on the outside where the fan blows so when its on it mixes the smells so the room. Smells like the air freshener Also the bucket with the water thing is for. Outside the cab and also it doesn't have to be a stinky strain once u smell weed u need oder control

Ok cheers mate, the air freshner is a good idea, but i may just have to bite the bullet and get a carbon filter, Seems the only safe option atm.

but remember u need space to grow and u also need a powerfull fan to pull it through and noise its right by your bed so keep that in mind

I just found a homemade right here on RIU! Think its in the indoor growing section, but i found it through google! Basically using mesh wrapped into a cylinder and then wrapped in carbon Sponge and sealed at one end, and then a fan going into it ;) Think ill go for that if i can :)
