Hey All!
i got a dresser at a yard sale that i thought would be perfect for a stealth grow area.
i took all the drawers out, removed everything but the faces, and then reattached them to the front of the dresser.
i also put wheels on the bottom to wheel it out from the wall and back, with some black plastic to prevent light leakage underneath.
i separated the dresser into a veg at the bottom, with 3 cfl grow lights, and a flower in the top with a 400 watt cooltube hps light.
i have the dresser backing up directly on an ac vent, which is channeled directly to the flower room by the flex-duct. my temperatures with the veg lights on and no flower lights is 65, which is a little cooler than i wanted, but with the flower light on, it should raise the ambient temperature a whole lot, but that's where the inline fan would come in.
i have a standard 6'' inline fan that does very little -- i have to reduce it with a 4'' reducer, which i think might decrease the flow -- but im torn between getting a regular 4'' inline fan, or a 4'' vortex inline fan.
i feel fairly safe that the vortex would remove heat, but at what auditory cost, i don't know... its currently situated in the living room, but it can be relocated...
i might be able to get away using the 4'' regular inline fan, as it is only moving air a total of 48'', but there is a little light leakage from the cool tube into the white out-vent on the rear through the flex-tube.
my initial thought was to create a "U" or "S," of sorts, with flex-duct to hopefully trap the light in allow the hot air to keep flowing -- but that would almost force me to get the higher CFM fan, and then noise becomes an issue again...
so...thats where i am now with my Barney Farm's Feminized Blue Cheese and Dinafem's Blue Widow seeds, waiting to get started!!
let me know what you all think!!
