My Stems are Hollow!

Does anyone know why some of the stems(stalks) are hollow?
Its as if somethings eaten its way up through the stem. Its not like that on all of them.
Is this normal?

All weed plants are hollow during the first few months of their lives, up to a year.

its completely normal depends on the phenotype of the plant. I have had both several times.

not always. I have had solid from day one as well as hollow all the way through

That is considered a good thing as far as genetics is concerned.

Not any of my cloned moms are hollow but when they were first cloned, the seed plants they came from were all hollow. I have never grown auto-flower, just wild flowers.

That is correct, the hollow stems seem to have a better med effect from what i have experienced.
also had the best taste.

i know this is an old thread but thought i would put my 2 cents in here as well. I grew out 33 plants from seed and every single one of them has a hollow stem
