My tap water is 570ppm wtf???????? anyway to save it?

a simple carbon \ sand filter would lower the ppm to a usable value.

note that if you filter the calcium and magnesium from the water (like with reverse osmosis) you would need to supplement for it.

My water is 300ppm and they do just fine.

ro system is out of my budget unfortunately

the carbon sand filter is that just a typical water filter you buy from the store?

This is how most of us get our RO water.








This system is about $139 and is a great deal even if you are just using it for drinking water. My water is 400 PPM out of the tap, it goes to 7 PPM after this filter. I put in replacement filters when my PPMs go to 50 (about every two years). The replacement filter kit runs about $60.

It will pay for it's self in drinking water. The arrowhead drinking water we used to buy tests at 150 ppm (tap water).

If you can't mount a unit under the sink, you can buy a portable unit for about $75.


The under the sink ones are much better and a hell of a lot faster (if given the choice).

thanks for the libnk on that ill actually pick one up when i get some ore funds...i just dumped about 1200 into my setup and so broke cant even afford enough rockwool to put my clones in hahahaha

i do drink the water its really good tasting lol...not sure wtf is in it tho


im gonna grab the cheap sink filter and see how it goes
