well u r doing everything right soil sucks but hey make your own
get some perlite spagnum moss and top soil
i learned lesson the hard way about time release shit u cant control how much it releases

I haven't added any nutrients, from what I've read on here its not good to give them nutes while their so young. I water them every couple days or so, or when i see that its really dry and can feel the difference in the pots, and for the watering I've been using tap water thats been sitting out for a few days. The soil that i'm using is unfortunately Miracle grow but I will be switching to either fox farm ocean forest or the only other that i could find was Jungle Growth at my local lowes.

I just ordered this http://www.htgsupply.com/Product-GrowBright-2-Foot-4-Lamp-High-Output-T5-With-Choice-of-Bulbs.asp its a t5 setup and i got the combination of 2 3000k lights and 2 6500k lights. I will post pics when they arrive of my newly made grow room, the reason I have given up on the tupperware box is because 2 plants i had died and it didn't seem to be working very well, but that could also be to over watering and ph and other stuff but now at least I will have some nice lights that i can use from seedling to harvest as i will only be growing a couple plants at a time.

Yeah I've heard great things about them so i can't wait to give em a try, most people on here say nothing is better than a 600-1000W HPS and everything else is useless but I can't wait for the lights to arrive and get my babies in the soil, btw i went to lowes today and picked up some jungle growth moisture control soil, it says its great for preventing under and over watering so i decided to give it a try and see if its worth it and i bought some perlite, has anyone tried any moisture control soil? If so opinions on it would be greatly appreciated.

Yeah i plan to get HPS sometime soon when i can afford it and then ill use the T5 for vegging and HPS for flowering, I am just on a really low budget right now as last week i went to court for possession ( like 2 tiny airsoft BB size worth of bud ) and got 2000$ in fines and 1 year probation and drug evaluation classes so i'm pretty much tied down for a while money wise.

should have ate it bro but to late for that
Yeah I had no idea i even had it, but you learn from mistakes and my counties new judge is a dick, he thinks he has to set an example on the younger people of our county by giving the maximum sentencing on every case that he gets.

dude,i`ve had three times the bulbs u have plus a big 300 watt and never had any type of heating problem w/ those bulbs,u must live in a warm part of the country.those bulbs hardly put out any heat, anyway just wondering.u are right about looks, some of my setups have been pretty ghetto but i got some excellent buds.good luck!

So i went to lowes today and bought a ph meter for about 10 dollars and i was also given a shop light from a friend and would like to know if it would do good for growing, it only takes a few moments to warm up and when it does it literally feels like a inside heater, it puts off a bunch of heat.

alright thanks for the info, i will make sure not to use it. I have one plant ( jack herer ) outside and it seems to be doing pretty well and i just put it in a pot with jungle growth and perlite mix so see how well it works. I'll post some pics either tomorrow or in a little bit if i feel like moving it inside tonight in tupperware box to get ready for my T5's that are coming in tomorrow, I love HTG they have super fast shipping.
