Sorry to hear it
Unless he can get off it for a week or two to begin getting clean theirs not much hope- Might need a good reason to get clean- Job or place to live? Might need a move to get away from the areas where he knows where to get it and who's doing it, Bottom line is unless he wants to stop he won't, and even if he stops their might be permanant damage that won't go away.- I hope he gets sick of it and decieds to make a change. Don't let him bring you down but be prepaired to help him up if and when he's ready

he's been to the pen a couple of times behind the shit and his wife and kids always stood behind him. last time he got finished taking care of a poss. charge his wife gave him the choice, the family or dope. i just found out last night that he chose dope and been on the street for just about a month. he can't come here, he burned that bridge long time ago but he's still my brother and i'm just venting wanting better for him.

I had a go 'round with the meth monster a long time ago, over 30 years. Lasted about 2 years and back then it was IV with crystal. That I am lucky to be alive is an understatement, stuff I put in my veins every day. And to have my faculties. In the midst of it I had the presence of mind to get a hep shot. Roomate died of hep a year or so later.
You say he has no problems, but he does. The drug, in and of itself, is a really big problem.

i messed with it myself back in the 70's and early 80's, somehow i made it without getting the c. he's going to be one of those people that die before they're 50 from old age.

If by c you mean the hep, I do have that lol. No symptoms though, and it gets me an MMJ card. The hep my roomate died from and what I got a shot for was B. Many people probably have hep C and don't even know it.

Most my friends from the 70's are dead from their addictions. I have one buddy who kept it together as a functioning alky untill about 4 years ago. No construction work so he started growing/selling weed and abusing/selling oxy,roxy,etc..
They have lost everything, going through thousands of dollars of pills every month. Selling and scamming enough to pay off house instead of losing home. I saw them on Tday and it was sad. Living with someone in another foreclosed on home.
She has three adult 30 plus year old kids with kids and they have all gone off the deep end. Its an epidemic all over the country. People losing jobs with no jobs out there looking for a way out.

i was talking about the hep c, several of my friends and an older brother has it. after learning the news most started taking care of theirselves and went through interferon treatments, others have already passed or sitting enjoying cold beer trying to get there quicker.

Yeah, my doc says what saved me was giving up alcohol about 20 years ago. If I hadn't done that and having hep c I would have been toast for sure.

Congrats on kicking alcohol. Nov 9th was 19 years for me. No doubt I would have died a long time ago. I was a piss poor sorry ass drunk with mad skills that were going to waste.
