Ok, so as a side project I grow oyster mushrooms and I was just thinking one day, stoned I must admit, and I was wondering, maybe the plant could feed off of the spent nutrients in the mycelium, its a long shot but how will I know if I dont try? I just took a seedling, cut a whole in a spent mycelium block planted and boom, I watered slightly with one teaspoon root growth in a gallon of water.any ideas? Ill keep everyone updated.

Interesting idea... The spent mycelium most likely wont contain many nutrients compared to what soil contains. The nutrients are mostly contained in the actual fruit itself. It may work but you will likely need to a vegetative nutrient supplement to continue growth.

Mycelium not spent! Saw some pins, thisll make it a little more interesting.
