Hey all, I am using coco and 1.5ml of orca a gal. I'm positive it does not hurt to give it orca all the way threw flower but the stuffs not cheap and I am. lol . So when does root development max out and not benefit as much from the mycorrhizae.

Once roots are innoculated with mycos the fungi establishes itself and forms a symbiotic relasionship with the roots. This will last as long as you do nothing to break this bond. I innoculate with mycos once maybe twice when transplanting when growing in soil. When innoculating roots with mycos direct contact is very important. Mycos live in the roots ryzosphere, which is a very small area, without direct root contact innoculation will not be successful. Also any salt based nutrients will disrupt the bond formed between mycos and roots. And to answer your question, mycorrhizal fungi can out live your plant and benefit future plants if you practice no-till farming. Imo orca, turantuala and all that stuff is way overpriced. Anything marketed with fancy names and pictures is marketed to sell and ussually is limited on the information of what is actually in thier products. Is orca, endo or ecto type mycos?

I use xtreme gardening products, they have one for soil and one for hydro (havnt got to use the hydro product yet but just ordered some) . They actually list how many spores per g is in thier product and what type of fungi. Im glad i caught this post, i googled and found some new info on mycos. Its a relatively new thing in the biology word, and there seems to be new info every once in a while. I read about one particular strain on fungi that developes particularly well with canna. The word mycorrhiza is actually just decribing any fungi that developes a symbiotic relationship with a plants root system. So different fungi are only beneficial to certain plant roots. I highly recomend doing some googling and reading, you will find much more info on it than on this site. There is a sticky in the organics section on this site that has some info. And there is a link below to some of thier products.

You are not getting any meaningful benefit from myco in that situation. It's not a normal soil /plant / microbe scenario
