Ok so I'm sure a few of u have seen my ghetto ass setup. I used the stand from my jumpstart t5 and hung the hid from it then basically tented it in with mylar I use a holmes (de?)-Ionizer just to help with smell and circulation my question is how safe is this? It doesn't seem more than static but I turn on the ionizer(lightsout) and let it run all night I come in in the morning and without thinking about it rest my hand on the light rack and bam it shocks the living shit out of me. It wasn't horrible but I switched to a 400hps two days ago and today well it was fuckin brutal and it honestly scared me enough to where I'm afraid of the damn thing. Lol someone read this novel and ease my mind please lol
Again sorry about the novel

I have tried lol but for like ten minutes after ward the nylar still "bites" me and the cross beam the light is on? Forget about it that fucker will put u through a wall if ur not ready for it lol. U know it was kinda brutal when I am afraid of the one room that keeps me happy lol

sounds like you have a grounding problem. You should be able to ground the light better or just ground whatever is shocking the shit out of you. To ground the thing that is shocking you, you should wire it to something else thats grounded. Use a an alligator clip wired to another alligator clip, and connect one end to your rack and the other to the ground wire on your light. Dont know what plus rep is, but if this works, as it should, you should hook me up.
Whats fonzi?:joint:

Thank u for trying but its not a ground proble..its the air purifier the ionizer discharges like electricly charged air or somethin. If u put ur hand in front of the vent u can kinda feel it but if u touch somwthing metal that it was blwin on look out lol
