mylar question??

Is it necessary to mylar your hole grow room or just a couple feet past where plants stop growing after flowering ????

Why mylar? Why don't you just paint the walls white?

Here a good example
Custom shed grow room:

Screw white, mylar is better, reflects all light better and more true to source. Most vital is from lights down, but best would be to cover walls and even ceiling with mylar and paint the floor white. I wouldn't worry about hot spots, they don't seem to cause any issue, the mylar flutters and sends the hot spots dancing around anyway.

You can use the diamond mylar if you wish, but it doesn't really provide any benefit for the extra cost.

If you are going to use UVB ever, don't make the white mistake.

I agree Mylar is probably better for reflecting the light but I chose to go white this time. If you ever encounter mites of any type I would plan on stripping the mylar and treating both sides of it just as you would your leaves.
Though I am using the same cabinet it is by no means the same setup so it wont be a good comparison..
