I understand mylar is btr, but i was wondering if foil would be a cheep easy sub. Will my plants turn out drasticly diff? and what are hot spots?

Ok, thats generrally what everybody says. No foil, but im still curious as to what hotspots are.
it will get hot on the tin foil in certain areas causing more heat in ur room... ppl also wrap foil around clear containers/pots so light doesnt get to the roots which get hot spots and burn roots... speaking of hot spots... clean ur bulb with rubbing alchol good after u place it in the socket cause when u twist it in, ur finger prints have oils on them which can become hotspots and burn ur bulb out faster or even crack the glass

u know.. i nvr see anything on here about that.... i have practiced it for years but it nvr comes up... i have nvr talked bout it b4 till now... it jus triggered me to mention it...good thing u asked eh???

Huh, so everybody knows it causes hot-spots. But the vast majority of people dont actually know what the hell hotspots are? The definition of IRONY is.......

Hot spots LMAO !! Gimme a friggin break lol. You friggin newbies amuse me. If ya cant afford mylar then foil is better than nothin. Not many people are likin the messy paint thing but ya that will work to. Its a lot more work. Tell me more about those roots bein fried LMAO !!!
